HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!! To those of you who don’t know, my mother joined the music industry with me the second she said “hey, you could be a songwriter” and has been with me on every adventure since. Since releasing music, she decided to become my manager and learn every single thing she could to protect me from the people in this industry. Before I got signed she put all of her savings into getting me into sessions, music videos, photoshoots, and all the other expenses that come with this job, and attended every single one of those with me so I wouldn’t be alone. She also drove me across the country multiple times on tours to do whatever we could to get my name out there. Once I got signed a little over a year ago, the work didn’t exactly become any less- if anything it became more because I was bigger than ever and growing fast. She booked hotels, flights, handled emails and communication, tour managed, flew with me to Germany and figured out how to tour overseas (and almost got arrested) and even spent a few nights on a tour bus. Many of you have actually met her (and called her momma red) while she’s been selling merch at occasional shows! She did all of this WHILE RUNNING HER OWN BUSINESS BTW. At the end of last year I finally got a manager to take over from my mom, and for the first time in years she actually had time on her hands. So ofc she decided to start a second business (do you see where I get my work addiction from?) while still making abundant time to do daily FaceTime calls with all 3 of her children, go see musicals and ballets, and fly out to see my shows. My mom is the definition of a super mom. Happy Mother’s Day 😘
