Inspired by 13th-century mysticism and the abject, the collaboration expands to include texts by Mechthild von Magdeburg (1207-1282) and melodies from the 14th-century Jena Songbook. 𝐄𝐥𝐥𝐚-𝐌𝐲 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐦𝐝𝐚𝐡𝐥 (1999) is a performer, choreographer, and researcher working between Sweden and Belgium. She has a background in circus and has studied dance at NEFCD. She earned a bachelor’s degree in dance and a master’s degree in embodied research from the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp (BE). 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐡 is a performative solo project by Ella-My Blomdahl, unfolding from a collaboration with Wolfa Collective and their project Way Away. A bit over three months ago @wolfa__collective performed Way Away in Expo hall at desingel, All the ways of making meaning uncertain through the irony of self-becoming. Is there an end to our physical existence? Bye assurance. We are searching in a divine meeting placed as a contemporary exhibition, for the beauty of incompleteness, for the erotic transcendence. Herein stands a state inside oneself, and wonders, where is the way away? I am so immensely thankful to have done this thing with you under the shared name of Wolfa, including it being part of my final master project!
