There is something in these images that you don't see at first glance.
They look like they belong to another time. The lace beneath the glass, the veil over her face in the old car, the lipstick pressed to the mirror. Ordinary gestures, caught in an unusual stillness.
And yet something gives it away. The bouquet. Its shapes, its textures, the way it holds its space. Alive, unresolved, entirely of today.
That suspended moment between two times, between what has been and what is about to begin. The past giving weight to the present, without ever overwhelming it. You can't see the shift. But it's there.
And maybe that's what a wedding really is : not a day, but a crossing. Something you move through, that moves through you.

Il y a dans ces images quelque chose qu'on ne voit pas au premier regard.
Ces images ont l'air d'appartenir à une autre époque. La dentelle sous le verre, le voile sur le visage dans la voiture ancienne, le rouge à lèvres posé dans le miroir. Des gestes ordinaires.
Et pourtant quelque chose les trahit. Le bouquet. Ses formes, ses textures, sa façon d'occuper l'espace. Vivant, irrésolu, résolument contemporain.
Ce moment suspendu entre deux temps, entre ce qui a été et ce qui va commencer. Le passé qui donne du poids au présent, sans jamais l'écraser. On ne voit pas le basculement. Mais il est là.
Et c'est peut-être ça, un mariage, pas un jour, mais un passage. Quelque chose qu'on traverse, et qui nous traverse.
