📣 Last call for our final Vamp Camp somatic healing + burlesque class on 2/15! 🌹❤️‍🔥✨ For this late Winter season, we at Vamp Camp wanted to bring a very soft, sensual, and powerful drop-in-style class series inspired by our Guide, Mary Magdalene. To us, Mary Magdalene represents the ultimate form of resistance to systems of power & control: autonomy and liberation through the body ❤️‍🔥  Her texts - almost completely destroyed by domination-based religious powers - name that we already have everything we need within us; that our connection to the divine is through our own bodies.  We are our own source of authority and discernment. These themes have been so important when we work with religious trauma, purity culture, or recovery from narcissistic abuse / domestic violence. With this energy, we're bringing you our final trauma-informed burlesque + belly dance class on Sunday, 2/15!  *This session includes extra time for a beauty/adornment ritual 🌹✨ All the information and tix are you know where! 📸 @fratgirlchas Image ID: Two women, one in a white nightie and one in a red nightie, sitting against a hot pink backdrop, on top of faux fur blankets, smirking while eating cherries #nashvilleburlesque #nashvilledance #nashvilledanceclass #nashvilleweekend #615weekend #nashvillevalentines #somatictherapist #sexualhealth #cptsd #nashvilletherapist #valentinesplans #galentines #nervoussystemhealing #nervousystemregulation #nervoussystem #purityculturedropout #purityculturesurvivor #purityculture #embodiment #embodimentclass

🌹We are only mere days away from the first day of @elizabethmdevaughn and my next 𝚅𝙰𝙼𝙿 𝙲𝙰𝙼𝙿 installment!🌹 We are pleased to share with you our two part Magdalene session! We will be evoking the essence of Mary Magdalene to bring divine strength and empowerment to our bodies. Weaving somatic practices, dance, burlesque, and ritual all into one space, we want to release shame and guilt around bodily pleasure and sexual confidence! This is not therapy and not quite just a dance class, but somewhere in between and led by women with years of experience in their field. It may be a very new and unique kind of experience for most of you, so please check out our landing page (⛓️ in bio) and feel free to dm with any questions💓 🌹😈𝚅𝙰𝙼𝙿 𝙲𝙰𝙼𝙿: 𝚆𝙷𝙴𝚁𝙴 𝙱𝚄𝚁𝙻𝙴𝚂𝚀𝚄𝙴 & 𝙿𝙻𝙰𝚈 𝙼𝙴𝙴𝚃 𝚂𝙾𝙼𝙰𝚃𝙸𝙲 𝙷𝙴𝙰𝙻𝙸𝙽𝙶 & 𝚁𝙴𝚂𝙸𝚂𝚃𝙰𝙽𝙲𝙴😈🌹 ✨𝘼𝙇𝙇 𝙇𝙀𝙑𝙀𝙇𝙎 𝙒𝙀𝙇𝘾𝙊𝙈𝙀!✨ * 📸 @fratgirlchas 🙌🏼❤️‍🔥

🍒There’s just a few days left til we begin our 2 class Magdalene session! We are ready to move our bodies and get playful with you! Head to the link in my bio for tickets and info!🍒💋 🌹🌸A lil bit about Vamp Camp…❦ Dreamed up by a cranky somatic psychotherapist and a wayward burlesque/fire/belly dance fusion artist, Vamp Camp™ is the place where trauma repair meets liberation & wickedly fun movement. We see body-attunement as the ultimate form of resistance. Since trauma is stored in the body, it can impact our sexual function, sensual pleasure, ability to connect, and to know our boundaries, needs, & desires. With trauma (including colonization & patriarchy) we often want to stay small, disappear, or people-please when it comes to the body instead of feeling connected, passionate, and free. To make this work accessible and fun, we thought, “what if we blend somatic + nervous system healing skills with burlesque and bellydance..? And play with makeup, crafts, and ritual??” So we did 😈 * 📸 @fratgirlchas 🙌🏼❤️‍🔥

Releasing sexual and bodily shame through trauma-informed burlesque & belly dance: Vamp Camp tix -- link in bio 🌹✨ It's Queen Season here at Rose, Raven & Roar™, the space where we heal from power and control systems & create new relationship patterns based in safety and reciprocity: From the nervous system to attachment science, from domestic violence to white supremacy. For us, Queen Season is about coming back to the body in a new way.  Seasonally influenced by my Irish/Celtic roots, we've just shaken off old patterns in the Fall, and we've been (as much as possible) deeply resting and restoring through Winter. We feel early/mid/peak Spring season as an accelerated time that nature helps us create new relational patterns, with self, other, and all.  It's a very sensual time, inviting us into our bodies, sexuality, pleasure, and ability to receive 🌹 Queen Season is also about autonomy, discernment, being of service, and a sense of agency.  From years of holding space for trauma victims, and from doing my own work, I feel strongly that slowly increasing our capacity to BE, to occupy our bodies, to feel our emotions, and to feel GOOD is a strong pathway to liberation and pattern change. THERE'S A REASON SYSTEMS OF DOMINATION ATTACK THE BODY.  Black and Brown bodies, women's bodies, limited ability bodies, trans bodies, and the intersecting layers of marginalization between them.   Systems of domination don't want bodies that are connected, switched on, feeling, growling, snarling, expressing, turned on and discerning, because then we're less susceptible to control; because we know and trust ourselves. Our bodies hold the key to our sovereignty.  Is it any wonder that they don't want us to have that. At Vamp Camp, the amazing @wayward_pixie and I want to help folx access their bodies in the funnest, most accessible way possible through trauma-informed burlesque, nervous system regulation skills, belly dance, play, and ritual. 2/8 & 2/15 (drop-ins welcome!) All info @ link in bio! Image ID: vintage picture of a woman laying in a bed of red roses with a rainbow tongue sticking out, with a deep red and faintly gold Victorian-style wallpaper background

🕯️🐑🌾ℬ𝓁ℯ𝓈𝓈ℯ𝒹 ℐ𝓂𝒷ℴ𝓁𝒸,𝒹𝒶𝓇𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔𝓈🌾🐑🕯️… It has been a doozy of a week for the US, with much of the country living through a natural disaster emergency and the collective grief caused by the ongoing brutality from our government towards the people. My dear sister @elizabethmdevaughn and I had planned to start Vamp Camp today, but we decided to leave space for ourselves and our Nashville community to settle down and warm up (literally) a bit before resuming our regularly scheduled programming 😌 So, we have pivoted to make this a two part session to be held the next two Sundays, 2/8 and 2/15, with an extended hour on the 8th! We are so thrilled to bring this offering, especially at a time where coming together with community is so important. We believe that in order to sustain resistance and to be of service to others through tough times, we must water our own gardens… we are doing that with dance, burlesque, and somatic based skills, to be able to really tune in and connect with our bodies, sloughing away any shame or guilt that we might hold onto for being sensual creatures. 🌹swipe for our flyer and please go to my bio link to find more info and ticket options🌹 🌱Imbolc is a time of year for planting seeds while still nestled in mother natures womb of winter. We may not be ready to leave stillness quite yet, but we can be looking towards the blooming that spring will bring.🌱 * 📸 @the_real_jrphotographydefined with a lil background edit by moi

Purity culture taught so many of us to disconnect from pleasure. But in our most recent episode, Elizabeth offers a different truth: coming back to pleasure is how we reclaim power, agency, and autonomy. That might look like listening to your body’s cues, choosing rest without guilt, naming desire without shame, enjoying touch on your own terms, or letting yourself feel joy without needing to justify it. This is all part of the healing. 🖤 #religioustrauma #purityculture #pleasurepositive
