We are beyond proud to announce that our director, Celene Beth Olsen, has been selected as a finalist for the Utah Film Center’s Artist Foundry Pitch Competition.
As we move through the final stages of production on K*lling Theodore, this competition offers a vital platform to share our mission of restorative, trauma-informed storytelling. We’d love to see our community in the stands cheering Celene on as she pitches the heart and soul of this project to a panel of industry judges.
We want to express our immense gratitude to the Utah Film Center for this opportunity. We are truly honored to be recognized alongside such a talented group of local filmmakers and are so thankful for the Artist Foundry’s dedication to supporting independent voices in our community.

I am so deeply honored to share that I’ve been selected as a finalist for the Utah Film Center’s 3rd Annual Artist Foundry Pitch Competition.
This project has been a nearly a decade long journey, and having the opportunity to share the heart of this work on such a platform is truly one of the highlights of this entire experience. There is something so special about pitching to my community and my beloved Salt Lake City—the place that has shaped so much of this story.
I cannot wait to meet my fellow filmmakers and take on this exciting journey alongside such a talented group. I am incredibly grateful to the Utah Film Center for this opportunity and for their dedication to supporting independent voices.

What happens when you root your projects in ethical practices and stop commodifying trauma and violence for spectacle rather than restorative justice? Last January, director Celene Beth was featured on Al Jazeera’s The Stream discussing the ethics behind the crime narrative—an impact-led vision we are bringing to the forefront.
There has never been a serial killer documentary made like this one. It is a space where collaboration, consent, and a deconstructed narrative become a historical correction, overcoming a genre that demands the perpetrator as the icon.
We are deeply privileged to announce that Ellicia Elliott has officially joined us as Associate Producer. Ellicia is a Washington State native, an accomplished theatre artist, a historian, and an educator. Beyond her incredible professional background and vital local connections, Ellicia holds a profound personal connection to K*lling Theodore—the history of these cases are interwoven with her own family’s story.
In a project of this nature, intentionality is everything. Ellicia brings a strong sense of purpose to all that she does, ensuring that we are always holding space for the individuals and communities affected by these generational crimes.
We are incredibly grateful to have an official Washingtonian helping us guide this story forward!
An investigation by The Salt Lake Tribune and Grist, published on December 1, 2025, confirms that Utah is in a dangerous downward spiral. As the Great Salt Lake continues to recede, the exposed bed is releasing toxic dust laced with dangerous levels of arsenic.
GSL researchers have made it clear: this isn’t a future threat—it is our current reality. This dust enters our lungs and our community, poisoning everything from our wildlife to our families.
We are already at a breaking point. Bringing this massive data center into this crisis is a direct threat to our survival. It will consume the very water needed to keep that toxic arsenic on the ground, effectively fast-tracking the death of our ecosystem and our people.
@kevinolearytv To dismiss us as “paid protesters” while you gamble with our lives for your own financial gain is a fraud of the highest order. We aren’t being paid to be here—we are fighting for the right to live in our own state.

🚨 CALL TO ACTION: UTAHNS, WE NEED YOU.
Our government is prioritizing data centers over our drinking water and the air we breathe. We cannot let them trade our future for a check.
• USE THE 5 CALLS APP: Download the 5 Calls app on your phone. It is the fastest way to find your specific representatives and get their direct office numbers. Use the app to demand a moratorium on water-intensive projects like the Stratos data center while the Great Salt Lake is in crisis.
• ATTEND THE PUBLIC HEARINGS: Don’t let them make these decisions in a vacuum. Show up and speak out:
-Bear River Water Conservancy District: Public Hearing on May 27, 2026, at 7:00 PM (102 West Forest Street, Brigham City).
-Division of Water Resources: Board Meeting today, May 14, 2026, in Salt Lake City.
-Permit Watch: Keep a close eye on the Division of Water Rights and Division of Air Quality. New filings for the Stratos project will trigger 20- to 30-day public comment windows. We must flood them with opposition the moment they open.
We must get louder before they go silent on us. This is our home. Let’s protect it.
With immense gratitude for their courage, we stand with the Epstein survivors as they refuse to be pushed to the back or sidelined by a system that continues to avoid them.
Today, they are back on the ground in Palm Beach for a shadow congressional hearing, just blocks from where pieces of their lives were taken. While the government continues to dodge real accountability, these survivors are doing the grueling heavy lifting the institution still refuses to do.
They haven’t had a beat to rest because they are still the ones carrying the weight of this fight on their own shoulders. It is a relentless, exhausting burden to force the world to look at what it tries to forget, but they are proving that justice knows no peace as long as the truth is being ignored.

Rather, it’s about building ongoing practices of care to use throughout the reporting process. / Slide 3: Aim to find a balance between working with the systems you are dealt while also pushing against those same systems toward more trauma-responsive and survivor-informed methods. / Slide 4: It is crucial to acknowledge the inherent power differentials between storyteller and story owner. / Slide 5: Take the time to communicate and process the story or content you are creating. It’s both beneficial for the project and also helps to prevent trauma and burnout from exposure to these topics. / Slide 6: Storytellers should not have to disclose their identity as a survivor, but they should not be treated as biased if they do. Further, developing trauma-responsive practices for storytelling staff is essential in creating a conducive environment for this work. / Slide 7: Set realistic goals and objectives. Every day, I get to wake up to your smile. Whether we’re giggling, singing, or dancing, you have made my heart whole. I love being your Mama, sweet girl, and I’m forever grateful that you are mine for eternity
Between the years I spent in tanning beds and the dry air here in the desert, my skin has been through a lot. Dealing with adult acne at 39 was the final sign that I needed to stop just trying to fix things and start actually nurturing my skin.
I started using BodyMatched by @innerbalancemd because it’s a clinically proven, physician-formulated prescription tailored to my specific hormonal needs. It’s the first time I’ve found something that actually addresses the hydration and texture issues I’m seeing in this season of life!
