10 years ago today was my brain tumor removal surgery. Just this past January I had my final MRI checkup with my surgeon. I thought that this milestone would give me the closure I so desperately wanted, but am now realizing I need to put the work in to heal my relationship with my disability. That word “disability” still makes me uncomfortable. I’ve never seen myself as disabled and I feel like a fraud because you can’t tell by just looking at me. Because of this, I’m anxious to enter post-grad life with different abilities to most but look how good life has been to me thus far!! Look at all my gorgeous friends and family!! Life is so much better now!!🤩🤩🤩
