“Christ Amongst the People”
Zechariah 7:10 - “Do not oppress widows, orphans, foreigners who live amongst you, or anyone else in need.”
One of the greatest contradictions is between the role of the Church in furthering the harm of the values of white nationalism, and what we are meant to learn from Jesus’ actual teachings. Being a follower of Christ has always been about living by His example: God’s son who made the ultimate sacrifice because he was deemed what we now refer to as an enemy of the state.
It cannot be overstated that the time for words is behind us; we are in the age of sacrifice for the good of all. We are ruled by tyrants and there is no singular individual that can take on these centuries-old institutions and ideologies alone. If we (followers of Christ) are to be His vessels in our time, we must oppose the powers that be - following His example.

April has been such an incredible month to be an illustrator (in my world lol). Illustration Expo, @jordanmckinneyart ’s home gallery show, and @scaddotedu ’s Sidewalk Arts Festival have been so validating. To see other people, artists and non artists alike, enjoy my work and even want to buy it has been incredible. Thank you to all of my friends, professors, and peers for making this possible <3
