Fashion with @and.bloom goes into the ateliers, the women’s collectives and the slow fashion being made by hand across Marrakech. Art with @vanessagbranson and @ritaalaoui_artist brings a whole new lens to the city’s galleries and a full day in the studio with one of Morocco’s most exciting contemporary artists. Interior design with @sophierobinsoninteriors brings a series of masterclasses, traditional artisans alongside modern makers and a styling session with El Fenn’s creative director. And finally, a garden design retreat with landscape architect @belldesigninc exploring centuries of Islamic garden-making and what it means in today’s unique climate conditions.

The Moroccan kaftan was recognised as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage last year. It is a long overdue acknowledgement of a garment that has been made by hand in this country for centuries - by master embroiderers, weavers and seamstresses whose skills take years to acquire and are passed down through generations. The kaftan is a record of Moroccan craft, culture and identity, stitched into silk, brocade and velvet.
