Lay out / pre-install walks are often a good time for us all to catch last minute tweaks or even just a great moment to make sure we are all ready for the perfect deployment and installation. We know that @g.s.friesconstruction expects our best and so we are here with @squaretreeframing lining up and confirming things are going to fit the way @chesmorebuck_architecture envisioned and planned with the @western_window_systems products scattered throughout. This property is capturing some really impressive and long spanning uninterrupted views of the Scottsdale airport and out to the east the array of mini peaks and valleys of the McDowell Sonoran Preserve. Stacks on stacks. 📚 Stacking glass is not as easy as we are making it look. There is a lot of engineering that goes on behind the scenes in order to pull off this floating / invisible TDL. We used the @awakewdc 425 Series frames while Jimmy and his crew laid out the blocks, shims, set the stacked glass and then pull a fat line of 795 through the seams. After it’s cured, he pops on a custom bar to cover the seam and sealants. It sometimes takes months of figuring out these calculations, because the tolerances are in the 32nd and even 64th of an inch. You truly get one shot and cannot afford to miss it by a hair, so when we get to stand back after it’s all in, we exhale, we cheer, we hug and we high five celebrating living art and another successfully echoing of the vision that @drewettworks and @ownby.design created with the level of execution @sdcestates expects on their homes. The biggest stage, the most scrutinizing eyes and our hope is to meet and exceed the expectations of what truly is possible. Something about Arizona sunsets….like, if you haven’t experienced it, you just wouldn’t understand. This @creativdesignbuild home captures this moment pretty amazingly and it almost overshadows the sunset as your eyes descend from those back lit clouds down to the sweeping back elevation of this home. Check out those @western_window_systems windows and how clean they frame each piece of glass. Those black anodized thermally broken aluminum frames boldly paint a stark and dark line allowing a bigger celebration of each porthole. Double Stack. 💕⏫ These two pieces of amazing architecture are both being built here near the top of Clearwater Hills. Having a pass thru window is the best way to entertain and serve during a cookout or even just on a day/night when you wanna open up the kitchen and let the outdoors in. 👨🏻‍🍳 This @architector_pc designed and Gemini Development built home in @desertmountainclub came out incredible and this kitchen experience is truly one of a kind. With hundreds of hours poured into the designing, drafting, detailing, fabricating, installing and then automating of this @kolbewindows , it was such a fulfilling and rewarding experience. What makes it so special is that it has a “faux” arch that we created to sell the illusion that the window is arched, but when you tap the @precisionautomatedsystems button or app that “supposed” arched window slides into a pocket sleeve created on the wall behind the cabinets (to the left). Natural light showers into this open kitchen with a dining space that holds one of the most amazing views of Camelback Mountain and downtown Phoenix. Being a small part of the design collective is extremely rewarding , especially when everyone plays their part. Following the mind and creations of @drewettworks with the eyes and style from @ownby.design you know you’re gonna get something current, fresh and so impressive it takes your breath out of your lungs. 🫁 We worked with the @arcadia_custom products and @brimleydevelopment to trace and map out each of the apertures and fenestration compositions like this corner-less pocketing multi slide door here with a tray of clerestories above selling the illusion of a floating roof. Such a marvelous project to have been a part of and it’s still, after 6 years holding up beautifully. Desert 🏜️ Sunsets hit different. These lucky homeowners (super duper sweet, kind and nice) get to gaze out of this @arcadia_custom composition of a pocketing door, matching and aligning transom above, along with a tray of clerestories and a floor to ceiling window wall (T and G) in the dining room. 204” x 112” of pure glass. No compromises. When a panel gets this big, installation becomes an event. This single-panel pocketing 905 Series multi-slide was so large that it had to be lifted over the entire house with a 200-ft crane before being carefully set into place. The result? A seamless opening that completely disappears—blurring the line between architecture and environment. This is what happens when design pushes limits… and the right team makes it happen.

Talk about a Killer Kitchen! 👨🏻‍🍳 This Gemini Development/ @abdesignelementsllc / @chavezaia collaboration turned out really great! We love how functional and open this space turned out, giving the best opportunities to host parties and gatherings! Having a client like @srippinger and @rippingerjohn makes our efforts worthwhile with their continued appreciation and supportive hearts. Their home turned out so magical and @erickrukphoto captures the essence of this kitchen heroically. The @western_window_systems 600 Classic Series products were used here to make the countertop window vanish into the pocket sleeve within the wall and the door takes off on the opposite direction leaving the waterfall edge of the countertop to stand bravely all by itself.
