This summer, I will be attempting the High Sierra Trail (HST) in one day. The HST, is a 72 mile point-to-point route in Sequoia National Park (in California). I plan to do it from Mt. Whitney Portal to Crescent Meadow. ⛰️
These type of adventure runs is what I love most about being an ultrarunner. 🥰
I’ve been dreaming about this adventure run for a while, and now it’s time to make it happen. New training block officially starts this week. It’s grind time baby! 💪🏽

3rd year in a row celebrating my birthday at this wild and beautiful event, and honestly… I couldn’t ask for a better way to spend it.
From hanging out with my girls @sarahjomcknight@brittany_biggs_ in onesies on Whiskey Row, to running birthday miles on different sections of the course pacing @mikejmcknight , to simply getting to spend time with some of my favorite people — this year was absolutely the best time. 💛
Only thing missing was @trailrunner80 on the adventure… We missed you. Definitely next year!

Answered a call to join a Beyond the Summit Trail Team 10.12.25 - 11.29.25 with Adidas Runners LA. A group of 12 runners, fully committed to summit 5 local mountains all leading up to run . . . The Cactus to the Clouds Trail Experience. I heard at the end of this series, it was just one wrench thrown after another. We never really got to fly. No parking; postponed. Rained out, snowed out; cancelled. And then, Nooooo!!!! snowed out of palm springs. Cactus to the Clouds is my Unicorn. My Eleanore. Neder meant to be. Every year tried, every year a fail. Well, fully committed we ran everything but Gorgonio & Eleanore. Okay Baldy we pivoted, but still ran. Cancelled we all still ran. Black Ice; snow, we ran. No more runners LA, we are all here still running. 🙌🏼The adidas LA Team super special. I trained with them and their Road to Bulldog Team for my first ever Ultra. It was so many of our first eva Ultra’s. And now so many friends. I can’t really explain it, The cloud 9 I’m still on and in. For this i had to sell my soul to the F&B world for the holidays to get Sundays and Thanksgiving Weekend Off. @tofu_scramble_run still has me listed as M.I.A. But here we are the beginning, Mount Wilson: our first run, no parking and postponed. Of course we still ran up from Chantry Flat. Ran down just a bit on the Sierra Madre side still burnt from the fires. Of course i played in observatory before going down. Wrong way had me collide with my @chingonasontherun , just to join them run back up and summit again🫶🏻
The last goodbye. Not Eleanor, but climbing and pizza. Paired up with a ride or die, we got in as many climbs as possible. I think we tapped out an a 11c. But also it was time for Pizza and interviews. I love LA💙 @orlando_.b thank you for the photos. Catch us on the trails:)

After my Fuego y Agua 50K DNF, doubt crept in. 😔
Thoughts about dropping to the 50K at @machetetrailmadness came up. But then I asked myself, why am I doing this race in the first place?
My answer: I want to take up space in these longer distances. I want to challenge myself. Out of 63 runners in the 100K, only 9 are females!! That’s 14%!! 😤
So in the 5 weeks after my DNF, I went all in. I applied everything I’ve learned from 10 years of ultrarunning: the strength training, vert, time on feet, mileage, and prioritizing recovery and nutrition on and off the trails.
But the one thing that really boosted my confidence? Running a training loop on the actual course. Seeing what I was up against helped me build a real race strategy. 🙌🏽
If you’re training for a race and can get some miles on the course beforehand, I highly recommend it. It’s not just about the miles, it’s about understanding the terrain, the elevation, and the layout. And if you can’t get on the course before race day, ask someone who has run it before. That knowledge makes a difference in preparation for the race. 🤓
