We had such a great time performing for The Goblin King Masquerade Ball the other night! Overall, a really well put together event, everyone in full costumes, it was a vibe!

Going into the new year, I am trying to stay focused on what I can do with the things within my sphere of influence while working on detaching myself from the things outside my control and the actions of other people.
It's hard not to get jaded and bitter when I focus on how other people actions(or lack thereof) affect me. When i take a step outside myself and try to understand whats behind the actions, I realize that theres often a lifetime of conditioning and trauma plus the weight of a world I hardly understand that drive people to act the way they do.
While I have to look out for myself, all I can really do is set boundaries and enforce them while steering my life towards the things and people that help me move forward and move away from what takes but gives nothing back.
I can't control circumstances or peoples actions, but I do have full control over how I choose to react.
Like my Dad taught me, I do my best to choose to be a kind and honorable man, especially when I really dont want to be.
I still struggle with that every day, but that's what Im choosing to carry with me into this next year.

Its been awhile since I've posted any updates on the bus, so here you go!
Met with a state patrol officer this morning to sign off that is street legal, found an insurance policy and now all i have to do is go.to.the dmv to finish up.my registration! The end is finally insight!!!
Working to get the bedroom put together and the flooring down next week and Im hoping i can get 90% done with everything in time to take her to equinox. Fingers crossed that i have both the time and bandwidth to make it happen.
Ill be finishing up all the little details and little tweaks over the winter, putting new tires and brakes on in the spring and if all goes well, by my birthday next year Ill be on the road.
Its been a journey, and fuck does it feel good to see it finslly start to come together ❤️
Finished setting the tile for this little mosaic in the bus bathroom. I went for a kind of abstract bonsai vibe using a mix of blue, grey and green marble with river rocks to fill. It was super pusty but im pretty happy with how it turned out!
31 and having fun! Took that day off to celebrate my bday and took a wak to the lake to lounge and spin props with Schlebbzz Daft this big lil dude. So proud of himbs! Walked like 8 blocks with him on my shoulders and then he walked himself all the way home.
Despite the struggle and overwhelm of this past year, Im feeling like Im in the prime of my life and excited for all the adventures ahead!

I made a bunch of little carved leaf pendants and tried oxidizing and polishing a few of them. Personally I think I like the oxidized look more. Feels more organic. What are your thoughts?

Im starting to hit a wall with this whole working for myself thing. Learning to run a business while running a business is like trying to build a plane in flight. It feels like I'm playing jenga with all different sized blocks. Trying to manage all the logistics and do the work myself has me putting my passions, time to rest, and time spent being present with people I care about of the back burner. I'm juggling so many balls it feels like im always dropping something.
Unfortunately, I have to grind double time for the next few weeks playing catch up, but after that, I'm planning to slow down, re asses, and come back with a more sustainable approach

Second test on etching painted glass and first run of this pattern! I love how it turned out and realized the back side looks equally as awesome! (you can see where I had a paint issue and had to sand and repaint the corner)
This gives me so many ideas! My goal was to create a 'tile' of a repeatable and scaleable geometric pattern that i can use to quickly add complex geometry into future pieces and to alter/break to create more interesting and dynamic designs. you can see the base of the pattern in the last picture.
I tried making this design in light burn, which while it worked and taught me how to use alot of the functions in the program, i think it was way more cumbersome than it needed to be. So now I'm about to dive into Illustrator and start learning how to use that for future design work.

This hat was made using my Twisteria Witch Hat pattern. I added modifications and don't have patterns available for those modifications. You can find my patterns on my website, Etsy, and Ravelry. All are linked in my bio. The bat ears will be included in my second Animal Ear Booster Pack pattern, which will be released sometime in 2024, I will share the release date with y'all once one has been determined.
I also want to share with y'all that I will be offline, on vacation, and unreachable January 24th - February 7th. This will be my first time taking an actual vacation from The Entangled Fae since I started running this business, and I'm very much looking forward to it. There will also be no release of ready to ship hats in February, but I'll be back to having monthly releases in March. 💚
