Hey everyone! I want to share something that has been weighing on me these last couple of days and how I’ve been thinking about it.
If you don’t already know, I am the mask maker, guitar player, and creator of the band Energy Pyramid.
Recently, our instagram and Gmail accounts were compromised and I no longer have access to them. It’s been heartbreaking losing touch with our fans, our community, our fellow bands, as well as all of the incredible creatives who have been a part of this journey.
However, my intention is not to express loss, but instead extend my gratitude to everyone who has been supportive and inspiring throughout this creative endeavor.
At the end of the day we are so much more than virtual accounts, content creators, or followers. We’re not even just masked entities on a stage. We are people.
We are humans making art together and that cannot be compromised.
This community has shown up in ways I will never forget. Someone you know - maybe even you - came to our shows, rocked out with us, made art with us, danced with us, made a fire with us, invited us to play with your band, even dressed up in handmade masks, and just showed up. A true gift.
So I want to say thank you.
Thank you to my whole community. Thank you to all of the artists, musicians, dancers, poets, friends, and family. You all truly inspire me!
Special love to the Elemental Sirens and their dance crew.
Thank you Brenden for showing up even while still healing.
And to my wife, Cat Yazzie, thank you for being my rock. I love you.
I have so much gratitude to all of you and your creative fire!
Energy Pyramid will carry on 🤘
