Visiting El Programa — a space in the Historic Center of Guatemala that I’m proud to be part of.
It was created to connect artists with different trajectories, exploring the ideas and structures that shape artistic, literary, and philosophical production today.
Our current exhibition features Chilean artist Patrick Hamilton, whose work has always fascinated me. He explores construction and labor as metaphors for the human drive to build, create, and imagine utopias.
His pieces remind us that art — like the world itself — isn’t built by thought alone, but by hands, effort, and time. That’s the kind of dialogue that makes spaces like El Programa so meaningful to me. ✨

Too short a time in Guate, but, wow, so many corners to explore. I came to see Margie, Dario + El Programa and left with new charismatic friends from all over town.
