💙 Tauko Saga & Inari 💙 I am so pleased to finally share my two patterns published today in the latest issue of @taukomagazine 🥳. The designing process started over a year ago and I am excited to see the designs come to life by the lovely sewing community. I must admit being slightly terrified too, but I guess that is part of the process. Anyway, I would love to hear your opinion about them and please tag me in all your makes with these patterns so that I won't miss any! My tracksuit version is slightly altered, it has hidden pockets in the princess seam of jacket and the trouser pleats are sewn longer than the updated version. My dream flannel skirt ✨️ I found a deadstock flannel fabric at @eurokangas_itakeskus and couldn't resist the color combination. I've had my eye on current plaid trend and wanted to create something fun, but wearable and play little with details. So my piece of softness turned into this ruffle skirt with detailed pockets and plenty of volume for a good twirl. Hameeseen ei ollut oikein sopivaa kaavaa, joten improsin ja yhdistelin ja mittailin, jotta sain just sellaisen kun halusin. Taskuihin lisäsin vähän röyhelöitä tuomaan hauskuutta. My absolutely bonkers big girl pants are finally finished and ready to see the world 🩷. I was gifted 3,5 meters of soft, slightly stretchy corduroy by @minervadotcom and decided to try #M8511 pattern I had in stash. The project required 4,5 meters of fabric, so I did some colour blocking with black stash corduroy. I cut the side panels in two and made the upper part in black and hem piece in blush. Sewing took a while since I decided to topstitch all seams for durability since I knew it would get heavy with this much fabric. Topstitching was a true sport in my tiny sewing corner with so much volume 😅. But overall, it was a fun project and I was really excited all along. These are so much fun and look stunning, don't you agree? Imagine discovering a nearly finished knit hiding in your yarn stash, just a couple of ends left to weave in… and no clue that you ever made it 😅. This happened to me, I knitted the tee ready on our Christmas break in Thailand, but then got distracted by the craziness that always hits finance in the beginning of the year. I was pleased to finalise the knit in only few minutes and oh dear, how I love it! The ombre yarn is very lightweight cotton and the oversized design makes this the most comfy summer knit ever.
