My entry in @eticket_builders "A Builder's Life For Me!" community challenge. Each entry in the challenge recreates a scene from Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean ride by a different builder.
This build is inspired by the Skeleton Helmsman. I pulled inspiration from not only ride photos but various concept illustrations to attempt to capture that balance of atmosphere and detail.
I used the official LEGO Super Mario Bros Dorrie's Sunken Shipwreck set as a base for the design and then went for something similar to the Star Wars LEGO diorama base to frame up the presentation.
Designed in Studio, PartDesigner, and Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop for the custom printed parts.
