I created the cover illustration for Takahiro Higuchi’s new book, 「Why Do We Read Books, Watch Movies, Listen to Music?—A Book That Will Serve as a Reference for Culture 100 Years from Now」. I had the chance to read an advance copy, and it’s truly fascinating. I highly recommend reading it in print rather than digitally. It goes on sale May 28.

Everyone walking through the city has their own story. Nobody’s just a “random extra.”

街を行き来する人それぞれに人生がある。

That first moment when a new book arrives is always the best.
The second-best joy? Flipping through the pages and checking how it turned out. And honestly… I think it looks pretty great.
