Yaaayyyyyy!!! So pleased to finally share some stills from our short film “Nursery” written and directed by my brother Max Pollard @maxypollard 💖🌸🥰!!! Shot on 16mm an unbelievable 3 WHOLE YEARS AGO in February 2020 😵 Right before the world was completely changed by the pandemic 🌊 How little did we know how lucky we were back then, we thought we knew what stress meant but we really didn’t. Life back then was a piece of cake and we ate it up!! 🎂🍰 We were so lucky with the film gods blessing us with lush summer days, the flowers were blooming and our crew jammed with love making this film. I can’t believe how quickly and how much things changed. Thank god we got this in the can! I think for me it is one of my most favorite pieces of work. I have always wanted to do something 90’s, candy and pastel coloured 🍭Something bright, breezy and fresh 🍀🍃 It’s not every day you get to work in an aesthetic you are yearning for so I thank you so much for creating this opportunity for me working with you Max. Of course my favorite set up is the ~ Ladies Who Tea ~ shot DIVINELY by one of my favorite cinematographers of the moment Tavis Pinnington @tpdop ❤️❤️❤️ I love you so much and adore everything you do, working with you on this was a dream! I am so proud of what we made together and it was so hard to select just these 10 stills but on my website you can find 40+ more 😂 an unladylike amount I know but I can’t help it! Please check it out, the colours are insane and their progression through each scene I only just noticed 🥺🤌🏽 impeccable and so smart! I had no idea you guys were planning on doing that!! 🌈😍 Thanks again for this pleasure of a production and I hope we get to do it again soon. Oh wow exciting news in my independent film career which I completely forgot was even a thing due to the Corona Virus bedlam and working as a small fry on another thing. I'm pleased to share that 'This Perfect Day' has been selected as a vimeo staff pick and is finally available to watch online! Link in my bio 👆🏼! I feel so lucky to have worked with some truly special people on this film, producer Olivia Wanders @olivia_wanders , DOP Alice Stephens @filmbyalice , cast Michelle Keating @snarky.mish and Hannah Koch @foxeyfrank and many others but most of all director Lydia Rui @lydiaruihuang one of my most inspiring friends who I am so proud of and deserves everything she achieves very much ❤❤❤❤❤ Love and admire you all and looking forward to making beautiful things with you soon once more 🌟
