Do not disturb❗️🤸♀️🪐🌞 Bodies are funny things, aren’t they? and when they’re given the chance, they can take you to some mysterious and beautiful places. Thanks @blok for the mental and physical space 🧡
Just a gorl with a fat(ish) ass, pretty clueless about life but ok at doing the splits. 9 years later I’m still all those things but marking the end of my fantastically empowering, exciting, travel filled journey with @imgmodels 💕💕
I’m so grateful to my family at IMG and the incredible creatives who’ve helped me navigate my way through this journey, helped me balance becoming a woman, complete my studies, figure out who I am while also empowering me to carve my way through an industry at a time when difference was a rarity.
In the beginning, I had no idea “mid-size” modelling was [about to be] a thing nor something I could be a part of till I got scouted.
Now, you guys have seen the fruits of my labour, in the form of my bare bottom fronting lingerie campaigns, but not the days in bed recovering from multiple fashion weeks being the only one who couldn’t fit into sample sizes infront of hundreds of girls who could. Stay persistent. I like seeing more diversity, more inclusive sample sizes and I’m proud to think I had a part to play in that.
I’m not saying goodbye to modelling full stop. Just changing things up a lil ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼
Turtle watch • In pursuit of more life. Thankyou Mumma Turtle for the greatest gift and most magical evening.
Here in Perhentian, the turtle rangers not only protect mumma turtles from tourists as they hatch on more busy beaches, they transfer the eggs to dedicated hatcheries to protect them from poachers. Over 100 eggs were saved this night. Another bitter sweet realisation for me knowing poachers still get away with preventing these animals from entering our ecosystem all the time. Further, already this year 9 turtles have died in the area, contributing to the increasing decline of the turtle population globally. This decline is caused by plastic pollution, human-caused habitat loss, exploitation and climate change.
We found plastic waste that had seemingly drifted here from China and beyond, so no body is void of blame here. It’s not just the turtles who are impacted, it’s other animals, habitats and humans.
Dirty feet Last week.👣 As the balance of highs and lows of a hyper-mobile yoga trainee steer slightly out of favour, I’m taking lessons from the fact that my joints will treat me how I treat them. Shifting how I “make the most” of the highs, to making the most of the physical and mental control I often take for granted during them.
