PARAPRIDE! The gorgeous annual celebration of queer disabled people was FABULOUS. Our own Cleo P Henry did a set including their poem from eff-able. There was a discussion panel centred around how to make protesting more accessible, aerial acts, drag, singers, comedy…. And the most immaculate of vibes! Thanks to all who came and chatted with us and bought books and supported this wonderful event. Chaotic and terrible quality photos and videos of acts by george.

✨GET YA GLITTER OUT! ✨
eff-able will be at the fabulous ParaPride Disabled Queer Extravaganza! Cum along and see our own @cleo.p.henry perform a set of electric poetry. George, one half of the eff-able book daddies will be there selling books (and loving the queer disabled vibes). Get a ticket and come say hi!
About the event:
Join us at Hoxton Hall for ParaPride’s annual flagship event for a very special celebration.
ParaPride continues to mark history with yet another incredible event to honor and celebrate our powerful disabled community with a spectacular line-up of talented acts that will entertain you throughout the day.
From comedy sensations, acrobatic performances, drag royalties, teasing burlesque dancers and more. We proudly showcase disability talent, therefore all our performers identify and reflect in our community.
We will host a live and interactive ‘Dis-section’ panel with special guest speakers, focusing the discussion on ‘Reducing Barriers to Protesting Safely for Disabled Peoples Rights’. With a particular focus on marginalised and Intersectional communities.

Saturday, Mar 21 from 2pm to 8pm

Our final poem from each of our 2025 books is from eff-able: a spicy anthology of queer crip poetry edited by @jpseabright and @a_g_parker .
‘An ode to Salt’ by Chloë Clarke (@chloeclarkepoet ) is sexy and, yes, salty in all the right ways.
Eff-able will be back in stock early February. Order at fourteenpoems.com now and we’ll get your copy out as soon as we have them!
In 2025 we had the privilege of being visited by many wonderful poets in our Oxford Street store. Our final visit of the year was from the editors of the brilliant eff-able anthology - @jpseabright and @a_g_parker . eff-able is a “spicy anthology of queer crip poetry” which can be found in our Becoming section. “The project aims to shine a spotlight on the lives and experiences of queer disabled people in the field of sexual play, desire, and sensuality from a positive perspective.” Here JP shares the poem “Salt pig” by Claire Sosienski Smith.

We look forward to welcoming many more poets to our stores in 2026.
