Diane von Furstenberg’s longest love affair is with Venice. In the Spring 2026 issue of 72, Juergen Teller photographs the designer in her Venetian palazzo, as Scarlett Conlon speaks with her about glamour, memory and the city that changed her life. “I first visited Venice on a day trip with my father and brother when I was 17,” reminisces Diane von Furstenberg. “The night before, I had a secret, passionate love affair on the beach with some Italian boy. The next morning, I was just a little girl with her family visiting Venice, but it was the first time I really felt like a woman.” Chief Creative Officer Edward Enninful @edward_enninful Photography Juergen Teller @juergentellerstudio Creative Partner Dovile Drizyte @doviledrizyte Hair and makeup Massimo Serini @massimoserini.official 1st Photo Assistant Felipe Chaves @chaaaves Postproduction Louwre Erasmus at Quickfix Chief Creative Officer Edward Enninful @edward_enninful Editorial Director Sarah Harris @sarahharris Chief Visual Officer Alec Maxwell @kloss_films Creative Directors Lee Swillingham & Stuart Spalding @suburbia_agency Art Director Stefan Abrahams @stefan_abrahams Creative Producer Fernanda Dugdale @fernandadugdale
