Lately, I’ve been writing (many) artist statements, reflecting on why I make theatre, and what responsibility comes with being a queer artist in this silly world we live in.
I can only promise to follow my instincts and to keep expressing myself and reminding that queer people deserve to exist loudly, joyfully, and unapologetically.

A few weeks ago, we closed LIPSTICK at The Chain Theatre as part of NYC Fringe 2026.
I thought it would be my last performance for a while.

As I recover from the premiere and run of LIPSTICK, I acknowledge how important this award is to me as a struggling indie theatermaker, doing my best to create, write, perform, and ultimately sell a piece of art while feeling vulnerable and exhausted.
This merit is also the result of collective effort, risk, and belief. Thank you, @lindamoralescaballero@lilmalinich@travelmusic_ad the beautiful human beings of @frigidnewyork and @chaintheatrenyc and @fuerzafestofficial@puckmar for making this project more sustainable.
And of course, thank you to all my ancestors for making this whole adventure possible, and to every audience member who came to discover the properties of the magical lipstick.
I have big dreams for it -and I’m very open to producers who want to take it further (let’s sell even more tickets) 💄
