Luxury Art and Luxury Retail is givin some #dystopian vibes. Not sure what to feel________
Is that Yayoi Kusama in the window?! Nope, it’s actually an insanely life-like robot. What’s more - there’s cameras in the robot’s pupils and it follows you with it’s eyes. SERIOUSLY.
Louis Vuitton and Yayoi Kusama has taken over the city with the latest collaboration, “Creating Infinity: The Worlds of Louis Vuitton and Yayoi Kusama”. Here’s where to get dotty:
📍57th and Fifth Avenue
Gigantic Yayoi Kusama installation across the facade, and in the window you will find a (extremely life like!) robot of Yayoi painting her signature polka dots. Trippy.
A pop-up retail store but decorated from ceiling to floor polka dots. There is a claw machine with her signature silver orbs (what’s inside?) but this isn’t a toy. Tokens are only given to those who purchase an item. (which costs WAY more than a quarter :)

NYce changes coming to the neighborhood!!! 👀The United States Military Academy — West Point — will spend the holiday break removing, renaming or modifying streets, buildings, busts and portraits that memorialize the Confederacy.
Some of the changes announced by Lieutenant General Steve Gilland include removing a portrait of Robert E. Lee in Confederate uniform from the library and placing it in storage at the West Point Museum, and moving the accompanying portrait of Ulysses S. Grant from the library to Grant Hall.
The school also plans to put a stone bust of Lee at Reconciliation Plaza in storage and move the accompanying bust of Grant to the front of Grant Hall.
