Join us at Edge Grove Nursery for our upcoming 3+ Assessment on 27th February
Our assessment morning is designed to be informal, relaxed and child-friendly - a chance for your little one to explore, play and feel at ease while we gently get to know them. There are no pressures, just plenty of smiles and encouragement.
At Edge Grove Nursery, children can start their journey now, building confidence, curiosity and independence alongside strong academic foundations that prepare them for Reception and beyond.
It’s the perfect first step in a nurturing environment where every child is known and valued.
We can’t wait to welcome you. Please email [email protected] to book your child in.

Reception class had a fabulous day at @hertfordshirezoo We were very lucky to meet Aaron, the owner, who kindly came down to say hello to the children. Aaron runs the zoo alongside his brothers and stars in the BBC One children’s programme One Zoo Three.
The children were so excited to meet him and hear all about the animals. Next week, as part of their Literacy learning, they will be writing letters to Aaron to thank him for such a wonderful experience! #reception #schooltrip #independentschool
Thank you @zakmakesfilms for inspiring our Senior pupils on a career in freelance tech! Your talk was extremely insightful and inspirational and we loved hearing about your career path and what it took to get you where you are today 👏

At Edge Grove, our children are encouraged not only to learn, but also to reflect, care, and support one another.
This beautiful morello cherry tree was kindly planted for us by our gardener, Graham, after the children shared their wish for a quiet space to sit, think, and remember. Together, they came up with the idea of creating a “Memory Tree” a special place to honour loved ones, friends, and pets who are no longer with us.
Since planting the tree, they have taken great pride in watering and caring for it each day.
A thoughtful and compassionate initiative from our 7 and 8-year-olds, showing kindness, empathy, and a wonderful sense of community. 🍒🌳
Today’s Year 1 trip to Knebworth House is a wonderful example of how, at Edge Grove School, we believe in providing children with an enriched curriculum that extends far beyond the classroom. From Nursery onwards, pupils enjoy a wide range of educational trips and experiences, helping to inspire curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning. #trip #year1 #independentschool

This week, Year 3 have taken on their @bikeabilityuk course. It’s been amazing to see their bravery, courage and determination bloom throughout the journey. #Cycling #independentschool #radlett
Year 2 joined Mr Hunt and Year 3 for a fun morning break Run Club on Friday. This is a great way to introduce our Year 2 pupils to some of the activities they will be involved in when they move up to the Middle Department in September and to show them where their new break time spot will be. There were smiles all round and some very quick runners!! 🏃

Past and current parents, staff, and governors went head-to-head in a battle for the quiz night trophy. Congratulations to the winning team, Seize the Day - the Year 1 parents’ team!
A fantastic evening that really brought our community together. #community #quiznight
Our Nursery pupils got creative today as they celebrated the 100th birthday of legendary naturalist and broadcaster Sir David Attenborough.
The children designed beautiful birthday cards and thoughtful portraits inspired by Sir David’s love of nature and wildlife. A wonderful way to encourage creativity while learning about someone who has inspired generations to care for our planet 🌍 @davidattenborough
So proud of our nursery children and the amazing progress they are making with their writing.
In such a short space of time, their confidence, determination and beautiful handwriting have come on so much. It is wonderful to watch their skills grow every day 💛
