We live in a volatile world, which sometimes feels hopeless, but I’d like to remind us of certain human qualities that bring us back to hope and allow us to imagine a more beautiful and harmonious world, in which we can all thrive. This sense of hope comes from an unlikely source: Mathematics.
Based on the keynote presentation I gave at the 2026 UNESCO Global Webinar “Mathematics and Hope” honoring the International Day of Mathematics (Pi Day). LINK IN BIO.

What I’ve learned over decades of my mathematical research is that at the moment of discovery, ordinary thinking stops. We enter the FLOW STATE, and just like artists and musicians feel guided by something greater than ourselves. Many great scientists are on record saying this:
“I have no doubt that our thinking goes on for the most part without use of signs (words) and beyond that to a considerable degree unconsciously.”
— Albert Einstein
“Every mathematician worthy of the name has experienced, if only rarely, the state of lucid exaltation in which one thought succeeds another as if miraculously, and in which the unconscious (however one interprets this word) seems to play a role.”
— André Weil
“Unlike most thinking which goes on in the upper consciousness, the really relevant mathematical thinking is not done in words. In fact, it happens somewhere so deep in the subconscious that the thinker is usually not even aware of what is going on inside.”
— Eugene Wigner

One week countdown to our biggest presence ever @focus.londonshow where we’re currently the number 1 on the most scheduled talks at the annual event in London where the delegate attendees are to be around 6000.
Beyond excited to share the stage with @edfrenkel for this special conversation.
The conference’s success is due to the tremendous hard work of @clara.le.520 , @katehughesldn@jeanfredericg and Luke Morris who tirelessly expanded the hugely successful conference for a global community of creatives in film.
Our event at @cwclub on October 17 is still reverberating! First, I gave a lecture about reviving the Pythagorean tradition, which means unity of math & music, yin & yang, Apollo & Dionysus. And to prove the point, we had a DJ dance party on the rooftop, with a one-hour set by @afedorova (as DJ Wilder) and one-hour back-to-back set by @totaleurotrash (as DJ Chi) and myself (as DJ Moonstein), which was a big success — see the photos and videos.
The video of my talk will appear soon.
The link of the audio recording of our live set with DJ Chi is in my bio.

In the new episode of AfterMath (my YouTube series), I dive into the question of whether computers can ever reach the cognitive capacity of the human mind - specifically, in the realm of mathematics. While computers excel at number crunching, they struggle with general mathematical statements.
I introduce the concept of the Turing Wall, a fundamental limit to what computers can do with numbers, named in honor of Alan Turing, the father of modern computing. I further explore insights from Alfred Tarski’s Undefinability Theorem (closely connected to Kurt Gödel’s Incompleteness Theorems). And I also touch upon the limitations of Large Language Models, such as ChatGPT, in handling mathematical truths.
At the end of the episode, I go back to the 3D sphere I talked about in Episode #2. I give a 4D spacetime demonstration of it, using... a balloon.
See the link to the entire episode in my profile.
Can AI Outsmart Human Mind?
Can AI ever truly think like a human mathematician? In Episode 3 of my new YouTube series AfterMath, I will explore one of today’s most pressing questions: Can a computer ever reach the full capacity of the human mind — specifically, in the realm of mathematics?
Many believe that AI will eventually surpass human thinking, even in complex fields like math. But I’ll take a closer look at this question — through the lens of mathematical logic. You may have heard of Gödel’s Incompleteness Theorems, but there’s a better way to talk about this subject: Tarski’s Undefinability Theorem, developed by the great logician Alfred Tarski, who was a professor at my university, UCBerkeley. Tarski’s insight reveals deep limitations on what can be captured by formal systems — and by extension, what AI can truly accomplish. Does this mean there’s an ultimate limit to machine intelligence?
Stay tuned for Episode 3 of the AfterMath, coming up soon!

My very first DJ gig in San Francisco last Saturday was a BLAST. 💥🔥✨ My brother @totaleurotrash , as DJ Chi, and I, as DJ Moonstein, opened for our dear friend @yuvrajkakkar and the talented Brooklyn-based DJ and producer @zehv_music at @swigbarsf , part of @deepanddopemusic event series. The energy in the room was palpable, we were dancing and rejoicing. Thank you all for coming and supporting us! 🙏🔥❤️
