Pride was never meant to be safe, neutral, or profitable. It was resistance. It was a protest - taking up space, demanding a better world and celebrating who we are on our own terms. We’re being told to accept a new normal: Pride gets whiter, richer, cleaner and further from the people who built it. Independent festivals bought up by investment firms backed by blood money. Money flows to the top, while artists and communities are left with less. Filth is a commitment to our community that not all of us are going along with that. On July 4th, we go head-to-head with Pride in London. Filth will debut in a secret central London location. The best queer DJs in London, accesible dancefloors, two stages, fat sound systems, priority given to the working class creatives who built our scene and continue to fight for our shared culture.
