Yesterday in Davos, Richard Edelman was joined on stage by Arvind Krishna, Chairman & CEO, IBM; Janet Truncale, Global Chair & CEO, EY; Dan Schulman, CEO, Verizon; David Miliband, President & CEO, International Rescue Committee; and Alan Murray, President, WSJ Leadership Institute, to launch the 2026 Edelman Trust Barometer: Trust Amid Insularity.
At a moment of growing division and fragmentation, trust is entering a new phase.
The discussion surfaced a clear signal: insularity is becoming a defining force shaping trust and business as usual is no longer enough. As trust in government and media continues to erode, business, especially one’s own employer, stands apart as the most trusted and capable institution to act. Yet rising insularity is making leadership, innovation, and collaboration harder across organizations and societies.
Our panel explored what this shift means for leaders today, and why the concept of trust brokering, the ability to navigate difference and move people forward with shared purpose, is a defining leadership skill.

We all know a fan who thinks they’re the problem. Now Xbox has a way to prove it.
With The Sacrificial Fan, Xbox created ‘xJ’ (expected jinx) in partnership with Opta - a data model that quantifies how a fan’s presence impacts results.
Rolled out with COPA90 and creators across EMEA, it puts fandom to the test, revealing who’s driving wins… and who might be costing them.
For the unluckiest supporters, there’s only one solution: don’t watch the game, play it on Xbox instead.
From folklore to formula, we're proud to have partnered with Xbox to turn belief into something fans can finally measure
And this season, Xbox is on the hunt to find and crown football’s ultimate Sacrificial Fan.

In the UK, HP put its Smart Tank printer to the test - printing a billboard live, sheet by sheet. 319 A4 pages came together in real time to create a full-scale OOH execution, powered by refillable ink bottles designed to last up to three years.
Edelman is proud to have helped bring this to life. A simple, earned-first idea: show, don’t tell.
On the ground at @sxsw , here’s part 2 of the conversations we captured.
We asked industry leaders about the conversations they think everyone should be paying attention to.
Their answers point to the cultural and business shifts gaining real momentum and shaping the year ahead.
Between panels, keynotes, and brand activations, we stopped industry leaders at SXSW to hear what’s shaping their thinking this year. We asked a simple question: If you had one word to describe this year, what would it be and why? Here’s what stood out. 👆
