Hey Insta, it’s been a while! 👋
So tonight, I thought it made sense to share a little about me.
I’m Ed, a designer who graduated from the @glasgowschoolart in 2018.
Out with my day to day I am an outdoor adventure photographer and I have always had a passion for capturing stories and showcasing Scotland's beautiful outdoors.
The past few months have been pretty busy, but it’s good to be back! I can’t wait to share all the exciting projects I have been working on with you all.
Here’s a few of my favourite shots to kick things off 🤩

Rediscover the Island Magic ✨
Some places hold more than memories — they hold the people we love.
In our new film, Edward Fitzpatrick and his father return to the Isle of Lewis, retracing stories passed down through generations and rediscovering the freedom, joy and connection that island life gave their Nana.
Watch the full film, then share your own island magic for the chance to relive it — with a return island getaway for two.
Every island holds its own magic. Are you ready to rediscover yours?

More moments from the Hebridean Way 🏖️
[AD] Because some adventures deserve a second look. Sunsets, bothies, long stretches of quiet trail, and those tiny in-between memories that make a trip unforgettable.
👉 Save this post if the Hebridean Way is on your list.
🗺️ @eddiefitz7 top tips for route planning:
We used both OS paper maps and the OS Maps app. Having both gave us peace of mind, especially in remote sections. The app made it easy to track progress, while the paper map felt like a proper adventure essential.
🚢 Travel
Planning ahead was key. We booked our @scotrail train from Glasgow to Oban in advance, then hopped on @CalMacferries to move between the islands. Securing tickets early meant no stress and plenty of time to enjoy the journey.
⛰️ Leave No Trace
The Hebridean Way is as wild and beautiful as it gets and it stays that way if we all do our bit. Pack out what you pack in, stick to paths where possible, and leave the landscape as untouched as you found it.
What’s your favourite kind of “wow” moment on a hike; the big view, the wild camp, or the food stop?

Sometimes the best adventures start with a simple idea: “Let’s get outside.” 🏕️
[AD] The Hebridean Way turned into so much more, moments of challenge, awe, and pure joy along the trail.
💡 Top Tip: The Hebridean Way isn’t just about distance, it’s about the elements. Bring good waterproofs, a paper map, download your maps offline, and always check ferry times. A little planning makes the adventure even sweeter.
This is why we go. To connect. To slow down and To touch grass and take it all in.
