Nurses bring comfort, care and healing to our communities every day. It was a pleasure to be a part of the Indian Nurses Association of New York's (INANY) National Nurses Week celebration and to present the organization with a NYS Citation of Merit.
Alley Pond Environmental Center (APEC) is celebrating 50 years of excellence in education, preservation and advocacy. In recognition of this milestone, my Chief of Staff Suzy Monteverdi presented APEC's leadership with an official NYS Assembly Proclamation at their annual Gala.

On #Queens Day, I was proud to invite and welcome Cardozo HS basketball coach Ron Naclerio to the NYS Capitol and introduce a Resolution commemorating his most recent achievement: his 973rd career win, making him the all-time winningest basketball coach in NYS history.
Yesterday we welcomed New York @Mets great and soon-to-be Hall of Famer Carlos Beltran to the NYS Capitol. It was great to meet him and honor his achievements on the Assembly Floor. #LGM
Play ball! On Saturday, we welcomed the start of the 2026 #Bayside Little League Spring season with their annual Parade and Ceremony. Good luck to all of the young athletes in the program.

It was great to join many civic leaders & neighbors at Queens Civic Congress' Biennial Convention. I also presented Maria Becce with a NYS Certificate of Merit for her ongoing commitment to improving Broadway-Flushing & Queens and her tenacious aircraft noise abatement advocacy.
The Kerala Cultural Association of North America is celebrating its 50th Anniversary. It was a pleasure to attend their kick-off inauguration celebration as they mark five decades of preserving cultural heritage and fostering civic engagement and community service in Queens.
The Veterans Association of the Korean Navy of Eastern USA honors the service and sacrifices of Korean naval vets and reaffirms the enduring alliance of the U.S. and the Republic of Korea. It was an honor to be a part of their Presidential Inauguration and Installation Ceremony.
This past weekend, baysidehsqueens celebrated its 90th anniversary with a “Bayside Beyond 90” event that convened Commodores past and present. I was happy to attend and present Principal Martinez with a NYS Proclamation in recognition of the milestone.
This year, #Flushing's @HolyCrossHSNY is celebrating its 70th anniversary. It was a pleasure to attend their Gala celebration with my father Ed (Class of '71) and present President Mongelluzzo with a NYS Proclamation as the school looks toward a bright future. Go Knights!
