"There is no holding back here. The ensemble moves as if the stakes are life and death, because in this world, they are. Each body tells its own story while remaining part of a larger fever dream. The vulnerability on display is palpable. It is rare to see performers so completely inside a piece, trusting its strangeness and letting it carry them." — Aaron Pauley Choreography: Mark Bankin Set: Josh Oberlander Lighting: Cheyenne Sykes Sound: Lola Basiliere Devised with: Liney Frank, Charlotte Aucella, Cara McManus, Sydney Anderson, Cynthia Gray, M.K. Covington, Christian Neal, Devorah Shubowitz, Jessi Tinley, Emory Campbell, Hannah Dillenbeck PC: Jessica Hsu, Gavin Strawnato Produced by The Tank Supported, in part, by FCA Emergency Grant

at the @brick.aux for @exponentialfestival 2026 Grateful for the people that brought this project to life with me and supported its production. Wouldn't have done it without you. PANICMOM, a nightmare soup for the soul, takes a deep hallucinatory look at our dissonance and capacity to turn a blind eye to terror, violence and injustice while actively inflicting it. With a mother in survival mode, memories of a hospital targeted by a satanic occupation, and an ode to the spirit of a child that can never be killed. We are functioning through ongoing gen°cide, e©0cide, and the ethnic cleansing of Gaza and Lebanon, and an atrocious war on Iran. Please consider donating to Lebanon through the link in my bio, they are on the front line enduring and fighting your zio-merican nuclear pdfiles for you. 📸 @leeraymentphoto

"A physical language that feels both unearthly and painfully human. Bankin’s choreography never settles into comfort. It keeps you slightly off balance, as if you too are drifting between lucidity and dream." — Aaron Pauley SCARECROW by Mark Bankin #moderndance #ExperimentalTheater #DanceTheater #PerformanceArt #ContemporaryDance

Mourning the death of Scarecrow. 🌾🖤It seems appropriate that working on a play all about death has been so transformative. Things I’m taking with me… • Preshow rituals. We need more of them. • Take care of one another. • Crying on cue nightly with a pack of women is deeply cathartic. • Details matter. • Risk taking matters. • Connection matters now more than ever. • Embracing death and aging matters. • Never show or imitate. Pull it from deep in your gut. Always. (Seems obvious but sometimes we forget) To my Scarecrow coven….you are forever in my circle of protection. I love you deeply and fully. Here is to peaking early but still enjoying the rest of the ride.😉💀🖤 #nyctheatre #dancetheatre #experimentaltheatre #connection 📸 @davidschulder
