What if sustainability wasn’t a limitation, but the inspiration? 🌿
This rooftop editorial at the iconic Ecotrust was designed to prove that beautiful celebrations can also be deeply thoughtful. Every detail in this shoot was chosen with intention — from locally sourced florals and rented greenery to recycled aluminum details, secondhand décor, and reusable signage.
Even the sweetest part 🍓❄️
Sloshy Pops crafted popsicles using fruit from local farmers while repurposing fruit waste into syrups to minimize waste and reduce emissions.
Some of my favorite sustainable touches from this day:
✨ In-season flowers sourced from Portland farms
✨ Florals donated after the event to residents through CAP’s Our House program
✨ Rental + secondhand tablescape pieces
✨ Recycled-can wine markers to reduce glass waste
✨ Repurposable signage with removable text
✨ Thoughtful fashion choices using rented + existing wardrobe pieces
This shoot was such a beautiful reminder that sustainability and luxury can absolutely coexist. Here’s to creating events that feel just as good as they look. ♻️🤍
Planning + creative direction by an incredible team committed to doing things differently.

I love making art that doesn’t require the involvement of anything AI, don’t you? 😋
On an intentional note, this entire event was curated to be as sustainable as possible. Utilizing reusable and recyclable materials, along with regifting many of the flowers used to the residents of Our House, an extension of CAP (the Cascade AIDS Project) following this event. CAP provides integrated health and housing services to people with HIV with 24-hour specialized care. The florals were then made into arrangements for residents of this program.
Every floral here was grown by a local flower farmer, so big shout out to these tenders of the land:

I’m so proud to be a part of this work, and dreaming up doing weddings differently in order to impact our industries footprint positively. As we all know, these events are inherently wasteful, but with the right tweaks and enough care our work can become even just a little bit better for the environment.
There are those that believe living with this kind of environmental concern only puts another small drop in the bucket. Yet, the beauty of this work reimagines the ways in which we can extend the life of all the materials we use and be conscious about how we source them, making every drop count.
Highly recommend partnering with teams that dream up a better future for us all, one wedding at a time. ✨

The best part of making photographs @transtown.pdx 2026 was seeing the breadth and diversity of our community on full display.
There were trans people who make art and trans social workers, nonbinary nature lovers and gender fluid individuals who have never met a craft they don’t like. Queers and their beaus and their adorable families.
Everyone shared a similar shine of self love and determination, of knowing what it’s like to honor yourself and the people you care about.
I’ve been thinking lately about infinite human diversity. How varied and unique we all are.
The vastness of our experience is almost unimaginable, and that freaks people out! Our lives ask: what do you want to be? It’s a big question.
But if you can open yourself up to this vastness of experience, there is so much more to learn from each other, more connection to be found. Love and heartbreak. The good stuff.
Carve out some space, I say .. break some new ground, come party.
Like any community, sometimes we let each other down. I’m glad to be in this city with these people, working it out and showing up.
