Residency artists Echönymphia @echonymphia ✨ . Fusing the sounds of harp, synthesizer and effects pedals, Echönymphia’s ambient, minimalist-influenced music seeks to reflect natural rhythms and sonorities, drawing a subtle parallel between electronic sounds and those one might hear in a forest or in the whistling wind and immersing the audience in the ephemeral sonic world of an augmented nature. “Staying at Domaine des lignes felt like time was suspended for a few days. We found ourselves in a secret wilderness bubble with dozens of warblers, the scent of freshly opened balsam poplar buds and a lot of moss to stroke. We quickly took comfort in brewing herbal teas and doing tarot readings in our cozy little nest-cabin. The colors and spaciousness of the studio fueled our jams with good energies. Our new album will be infused with the spirit of the place and its inhabitants, and we are deeply grateful to Sophie and AP for sharing a piece of it with us!”

Ok now i understand why school wants us to make a 1-minute teaser for our project…. To post on social media!!!…. I see my classmates doing it, and realized I should do it tooo! Here it is, @echonymphia ‘s new piece, 𓂃⏜𓈒𓏸‪‪ . ✴︎* ⍓ , different then our usual set up (synth + harp). In this new composition i’m playing a prepared grand piano with Coralie on the harp. I wanted to explore the piano in a renewed way. I have been playing piano since i was 6, but my relationship w it was v up and down. We wanted to get to know eachother under new circumstances. This piece has a very graphic name, because i struggle to find words to define it. Words evoke meanings, but i want to evoke emotions and sensations. 💜 we had a blast playing for Pique festival at @ottawaartgallery yesterday ✨ thanks to the amazing @debaser__ team for putting together such a cool, inclusive and diverse festival! Pique is truly a unique event and that’s thanks to your thoughtfulness, forward thinking and engagement towards the arts community 🤍 🧚 thanks to all of you fairies who were there for our performance and blew bubbles for us, we’re really happy to have had this chance to share a little piece of our sonic world with you ✨ and thanks to @_curtisperry for the cute Polaroid :)
