One man Funeral Doom machine ECHO DEATH live in action in Santa Rosa(CA). As we inch closer to the official debut release from Echo Death, here’s a preview of another song that is in the works!

OMINESS, IN SHAME, ECHO DEATH all together to celebrate heavy music! Plus if you really want to split hairs, Blighted Elder, Barren Altar, Swamp Witch, Evulse, Atone, Caffa, Lycus & Sleepbomb. It’s is honestly such an honor and delight to see bands I admire joining forces with one another and championing each other, I’ve been trying to push that for a long time now and in the past few years it’s been shaping up a lot more regularly and just as a fan it puts a smile on my face. I’m all about lifting folks up, this isn’t a competition, we can all win and do well and it’s better for everyone. It means the world to me to see and the fact I can play a minuscule part in it is wonderful. I could go on about each individual here, but I’ll just say this, I respect everyone and for the opportunity to take up space in these sorts of wonderful places. I spent my teenage years in a small town that often got over looked by bands so I busted my butt to change that and build a community and scene for folks to come to and now getting to do the same in towns outside of the major markets and seeing a positive reception, it means a lot. Santa Rosa is wonderful, a lot of bands have hit me up saying we want to play Oakland on tour and I tell them look into Santa Rosa, look into Sacramento, and San Jose, there’s lots of killer places to play outside of the typical norm, but it’s up to us to make these places destinations. Bless the Arlene Francis Center in Santa Rosa for existing and providing a much needed space for cultural and artistic community.

Echo Death, fiery epic funeral DOOM and one man band done right! The mastermind behind this, Trevor Deschryver, has been working on this particular project for several years now, fine tuning and perfecting his craft. I’ve been championing Trevor for close to two decades now, I know that anything and everything he does is going to be worthwhile, from Doom to Shoegaze, to Black Metal, Post-Punk & Industrial, his contributions are always going to be top notch. Echo Death is his baby and like all of his other projects, it’s tragically devastating and absolutely crushing. In 2026 you will all be able to hear what he’s been working on over the years but until then enjoy footage of him playing at Shady Oak Barrel House in Santa Rosa(CA)

Haunting Funereal Doom from ECHO DEATH! One man bands with live drums are my absolutely favorite iteration of one man bands, when I first heard about this project I’ve been eagerly anticipating catching it live. For the uninitiated Echo Death is a project led by Trevor Deschryver, whose played drums for a litany of bands like Dispirit, Lycus, Wolves in the Throne Room, Deafheaven, Silence in the Snow, Minenwerfer and more. Trevor is a machine and one of my favorite drummers, I admire him a whole lot and am stoked to champion his artistic journey. You will definitely be hearing more ECHO DEATH in the future but here’s a taste of what’s to come
