New in the Cat-A-Comb! BEACH MASTER @beachmaster775 vinyl limited-edition debut album THE WEIGHT OF A NEW PLANET! Last year BEACH MASTER rode the Pussy Palace stage like an expert surfer rides a wave, but these ain’t no beach-boy pet sounds… BEACH MASTER’s debut album delivers a heavy, unpredictable mix of blackened doom and progressive metal complexity, powerful, and often anguished, reflecting a world in collapse under the yoke of the fading human era- a consequence of our hubris and self-sabotage. The Reno, NV trio takes its name from the massive and majestic Elephant Seal, a creature that is brutal on land yet graceful in the sea, a duality reflected in their sound. This album is a journey through crushing riffs, shifting moods, and cosmic heaviness.

I'm proud to bring you "5 Albums I Love" by @apocalyptic_dance Laurie Shanaman.
Laurie is an incredible Bay Area CA based vocalist who has worked in multiple bands Including LUDICRA and AILS. I saw Laurie perform with Ludicra in 2009 and It left a lasting impression on me. Her stage presence and passion cuts to the core and I'm incredibly grateful she took the time to outline some of her favorite albums for us.

Took the whole fam out to an all age underground Metal show recently at The Owl Cave Grass Valley!!!
Had so much fun!!!
Benjamin' Baymiller and I used to go to every all age show we could when we were in our teenage years and now my daughter Araya absolutely loves to do the same! (She even enjoys a few trips around the mosh pit!!! 😄🤘)
The smell and feel of sweaty people all crammed into a barley lit little room of ecstatic metal heads really had me feeling nostalgic!!
Thanks to the Owl Cave and to the AMAZING bands that graced our ears with the sludge and doom metal pulsing forth from the speakers and anguished screamed vocals that felt so cathartic!!!
Can't wait to do it again next weekend!!!
