This first edition is filled with all of my passion projects from the past 2 years. Having the opportunity to work with talented photographers, models, wardrobe stylists, HA, MUAs etc. inspired this magazine to be born — recognizing that there is so much talent in our Black community that needs to be exposed.
Emonye Collective is a Chicago-based creative platform dedicated to discovering, amplifying, and celebrating Black talent across the city. Through storytelling, visual production, and authentic conversation, we want to highlight the voices shaping Chicago’s culture and artistry. My mission is to uplift emerging creatives and redefine how Black brilliance is seen, shared, and supported.

such a great weekend that i created for myself. i decided to do a staycation and be a tourist in my own city. sometimes you just need a little sun and some fresh air — it reminds you that life is worth living. i thank God for another year, another opportunity to get it right, and for His unconditional love that He has for me.
Can’t beat that.
