Huge shout out to @veroniqueansorge 🫶🏾
Opening next week Friday 3/13 at the new DZTribeca, one of my favorite artists of all time, Isa Genzken 🩶
Isa said “artists never take vacations, but the entire art system urgently needs a vacation.” It’s been a dream come true to work on this show.
This is my VACATION for Isa 🚬🚬🚬
@davidzwirner
Raymond Saunders’s first show in Los Angeles in over then years (!!) “Notes from LA” opens today at David Zwirner.
Curated by me, this show considers Saunders’s lifelong relationship with education; his time as an award-winning student, notable professor, and outspoken skeptic of Euro-centered higher education - not every artist needs to be “classically trained.”
On view are items he had with him in his Oakland studio, where he lived and worked for most of his life.
Notes from LA < Notes from Saunders 🤍🤍
