the last few photos of this three part series. i thought that this would be a nice few photos to wrap this triptych of a larger triptych up. i wanted to convey freedom and movement - a breaking away from constraint, again, tradition foregrounding a contemporary scene. ive always understood myself as a vessel for those who’ve come before me and navigating how to also be true to myself has been something that i, and i’m sure many others, are no stranger to. this whole series from jane and jielin, ella, to lily, are an exploration of heritage, identity, belonging, and dichotomies of the past and present. thank you to everyone who supported my chaos, especially
