Immensely grateful. To my six brothers I spent countless hours in the van with. To everyone who came out to the shows in every city. It felt so good to finally take our vinyl out of a box and hand it to another person.
After 4 years of no touring, we did 8 shows and I’m so tired but I could’ve done 100 more and I cannot wait for the next one.

ATLANTA SHOW VENUE CHANGE
Due to some seriously concerning allegations against the ownership at Sabbath Brewing, we moved our Saturday 5/20 tour date to @thedrunkenunicornatl !
The Drunken Unicorn is one of the first Atlanta venues we ever played while we were still based mostly in Athens and they’ve always been kind to us. We’re so excited to have the opportunity to play the show over there! So many memories on that block. Let’s make more.

“Island Nation” as a song goes way back for us. It started as a two-chord progression and gradually morphed into what it is now.
The “island nation” I sing about isn’t an actual island, it’s a person. Maybe me. Maybe you. But I started writing the song while I was exploring Japan by myself in 2014, so once the song was finished we knew we had to go back to shoot the music video.
This song represents so many things to me, but I overall it really represents the resurrection of Easter Island(the band). To me, it was our comeback song and the heartbeat of the album.
One fun little thing about this song is that when @lilswint first comes in on the drums, that part is stolen from “I am trying to break your heart” by @wilco AND a song called “DUI” by a lil band called @themodernskirts .
Eternally grateful as always to @tweedrecording for letting us play the album in its entirety for cameras and microphones. And to our handsome talented dear buddy @kn1ckkn4cks for playing violin.
