I've made 10 of these posts now. That's the funny thing about the human experience; it seems no matter how many years pass, you'll find a new way to grieve. 10 years ago today, mom, you joined the ancestors - and for the first time I felt like I was running out of pictures of you. I mean, functionally that's probably not true, but it's far beyond my meager abilities to create new ones.
The one thing I know for sure is if she were still on this plane, she'd probably give me shit about how grey my beard is getting.

Proof of life. Many years ago at UC, Irvine we had a pub - the old one with the Anthill grill and a patio balcony and a bunch of pool tables surrounded by stand-up arcade cabinets. Back then, one of the popular pours was a Snakebite, Guiness floated over a cider of choice. So, when I went to @bennyboybrewing over the weekend for a birthday and saw a Snakebite on the menu (with their own proprietary brews), I was like, "Let's re-live some glory days!"
