Stoked to finally share this *fake* @oakley project. (Just to be clear this is a personal project; they are not my client... yet 😉)
I’ve been stuck in a bit of a rut feeling uninspired as of late… so I’ve decided to change things up.
So, at the start of the year, I decided to create this project for Oakley to hopefully start attracting the right clients and inspiring projects.
I researched the brand, checked out their tech and decided to write a brief for myself focussing on their PRIZM lens tech.
Was amazing to collaborate with @gabrielgifford for the awesome sound design <3
This is hopefully going to be a big change for me, so I would massively appreciate any engagement on this post, it really really helps, especially since I’ve somewhat abandoned my instagram lately…

This is the third scene of the album trailer I made for @killthenoise
This scene is the journey of submersion and resurfacing. Vastness was created with waves and horizon, using a huge expanse of water to help the music feel epic. The camera’s struggle to clear the ocean’s surface is designed to give the feeling of an uphill battle— a fight to get to the portal (and into the next portion of the album).

Had a lot of fun creating this icy cave inspired by still life painting and chiaroscuro for @gabrielgifford ‘s album.
This video is part of the visualiser that tells the story of a character trekking through a snow storm to seek shelter while having some surreal and unexplained encounters.
I saw the live show for the album release a few weeks back and was floored by the etherial theatrics of the show. Honoured to be a part of this release. Thanks Gabe 💕

✨In Stasis ✨
Recently I’ve been treating my work (and life?) in a go~with~the~flow kind of way. No real plan, more of a fuck around and find out approach. Just pushing shapes together until something clicks. It’s been a good way to stumble into unexpected looks and discover new styles or techniques.
I had no idea how this one was going to turn out, and if I did, I guess it would’ve looked completely different. Still not sure about how I feel about it though.
The initial inspiration came from the shapes in the TV show Arcane. I figured out a way to build something similar procedurally in C4D, then brought it into Unreal Engine to see what would happen.
The result was this scene - A runner, frozen in transformation. Spikes erupt like time cracking open. Something caught them, or maybe it’s is just the shape of momentum interrupted.

This one started with 0 direction, just a visual in my head and a reason to learn some new software. Sometimes aimless beginnings can lead to the most unexpected stuff.
It started with a simple(ish) scene I’d been imagining for over a year. I started putting a couple of shots together and I thought… oooo I might have something here… so I put out some feelers to see if I could turn this into a music video.

Been (finally) learning Unreal Engine! This is the result of the first tutorial I got stuck into. Massive shoutout to @mr.hollt for that.
Really enjoying this! It’s so fast and feels like a more natural way to create.
