It's a 130s UK techno / garage influenced banger with driving drums, quirky synths and pads and a whole lot of grit and power with a sound completely in its own lane. So happy to finally have this one out 💜

🎉 One year on @moderadio.london 🔊🔊 I'm out of my social media posting hibernation to celebrate it's now been 12 monthly shows on Mode and been loving hosting on the station and having all the guests on, here's some highlights that I haven't posted from some of the last year. ▶️

Born in London but causing some chaos now over in Berlin, we met playing a free party together over there and have since played twice over at Brixton Radio and now looking to make our Mode London debut together.
With Mode being a grime station we are definitely going to be bringing more of a grime instrumental set, with some big bangers planned and lots of energy, having both growing up listening to grime in that pre That's Not Me era.

My new show is every 4th Sunday, and that means my next show is... Tomorrow! So catch me at 1pm tomorrow spinning some UK bass, techno, and dubstep sounds. With a special twist of I'll be doing 120-130 only.

It was really lovely to play some nice weighty UK bass and techno to a friendly crowd. Bigups to all friends old and new who came through, and to @noeditslondon for running such a great event and building that community 🩶

Having already played together at Berlin’s Reverse Engineering party in 2022, shows at Deptford’s AAJA Radio, and also a show live earlier this year in Hong Kong at FM Belowground, @djstayinbed and @_indent brought their signature based fuelled b2bs for the first time to the North of the river. Fresh off his latest release on Scuffed Recordings a few weeks ago, Indent is a producer who creates bass heavy and percussive music with polyrhythmic and atmospheric synths, as also heard on his EP earlier this year on Meld, or previous releases on Noire State and Holding Hands. Holding down radio residencies at Brixton Radio and AAJA, he has also as played out at a number of Berlin based parties. DJ Stay in Bed is a member of the collective POMELO and co-host of their monthly show on Brixton Radio. Having played at Colour Factory, Somerset House and Venue MOT, she loves to play the deeper and bassier side of the dance music spectrum (as well as the odd silly bootleg!)

The EP starts off with "Take", a UK Bass hit with breakbeat drums and an earworm vocal, then goes into "Orbiting Frequencies" with a electo / UK Techno hybrid, with it's dark and hypnotic delayed synth flying across the stereoscape. Into the B side next is "Component" which starts with speedy broken drums with a bassy 808 into a halftime dubstep inspired synth laden second half. The title track is next "Phantom Pressure", showcasing a real morphing bassline with fast and energetic percussion for the dancefloor, and finishing it off with Small Crab's remix of the title track bringing a dubbier and more heads down cut.
Feels great to have my music finally released, after writing so much music in the last 3 years but not feeling like it's up to my standard I feel like I've got a process that really works for me now 💙 expect to get more new music coming more frequently! Thanks for all the support from the DJs, family, friends and my amazing partner
