This piece is inspired by mycelium and explores ideas of symbiosis and interconnection.

The shoot was brought to life by my great friend and insanely talented artist @arthursjames 🎥📷. We leaned into the contrast between organic form and industrial space. James lit the scene entirely with bounced light, avoiding direct sources.

Really excited to share some shots of my most recent creation ‘Gather Low Table’ - made from Ash and Cedar bark.
This piece was commissioned by two of my favourite humans ever @seedsofyaris and @thnky . Can’t thank them enough for trusting me and allowing me the freedom to explore new realms and push myself forward creatively with this piece.
These photos were taken by James Arthurs who is also one of my favourite humans ever. He helped bring this vision to life and I couldn’t be happier. Huge thanks to him and all his hard work. He is an absolute genius with lighting and photography!

This piece is named after the ‘Hyphae’ which are the long, branching filaments of a fungus.

Granum Studio Desk - 2026 - Hand carved from solid Ash.
Huge thanks to @mattchalmusic for commissioning this piece for his new music studio. Matt is an incredible musician, composer, producer, arranger and all around human being. I’m honoured to have my work in his studio.
I also made the sculpture hanging on the wall many years ago. Matt has always been a huge supporter of my work since the early days. Very grateful.

Granum Shoe Cabinet. Hand-carved from solid Ash. Finished with iron acetate, wood bleach and Osmo oil.
This was a particularly fun challenge. I was limited by the width of the client’s hallway, which meant the cabinet could only be 10” wide. To make it work, you have to put the shoes in sideways, one by one.
The inspiration for this piece, and the rest of the Granum series, came from a recent trip to Yosemite. I was struck by the rugged texture of the giant rock faces. They look so smooth and velvety from a distance, but up close you see the layers stacked and compressed.
“Granum” means grain. With this series, I wanted to explore those hidden markings on wood and stone that tell an object’s history.

Photos from the downtown Toronto penthouse I recently completed.
I designed and built the balcony from scratch using ipe, cedar, and stones from my property up north. The cedar benches and tables were hand-carved using stack lamination and feature built-in hand-hammered copper ashtrays.
The ipe balcony panels were pre-constructed in my studio at a 7.5° angle to match the interior flooring, so it feels like a natural extension of the suite.
Curved cedar ledges in the rock garden have LEDs, with extra lighting in the panel cutouts for the benches, along the balcony, and under the bridge.
Inside, I also built the stools and side tables from local air-dried walnut.
