As 2023 ends l have finally accomplished my goal of almost 10 years by getting an underwater housing to push my craft beneath the surface. For years I’ve dreamt of this and now it’s finally here. Time to practice and push my craft where it’s never been before. Here’s a mood reel from some test footage shot in Tobago Dec 23. #ishootsalty

Number 4: Grenada 🌿✨ After a quick Boxenstopp back home to charge our batteries (quite literally), we hopped on a short and very smooth (yes, we’re experts at this now 😅 and know exactly what to do with all export formalities lol) flight to the Spice Isle 🇬🇩 capturing the work of @caribbiofund and @gsdtf473 . From a nature conservation project in the north of the mainland to a marine area project in Carriacou! This island, though… what a feeling. Every corner carries memories of Hurricane Beryl. Heartbreaking, and yet… contrasts again - a wild, adventurous ride through deep mud holes (mastered by rally driver @dylan_q 😅) and a forgotten landscape of broken branches and dead trees🪾led us to a place that felt surreal 🌈🦄 A bubble where the world slows down. Horses and goats roam freely. The sea breeze blows wildly. No WIFI to distract. And a house reef that surprises with shark encounters 🤿🦈 grateful, for all that. More soon 🎥✨

I’m incredibly proud to finally share ‘Spectral’ — the first film I’ve had the honor of directing. How can we bear the unbearable, where the fruits of the orchard are still too young to fall and the sound of weapons shake the hills of paradise? On March 14th, Javed’s life was tragically taken. We don’t have an answer to make sense, but we have to trust a power far beyond our reach, that his devotional presence spreads the light where it’s needed most. A soul and heart so pure. Javed 🕊️🤍 May his love be magnified with the whole universe - all plants, animals, microorganisms, water, human souls - the for many of us seemingly insignificant details of the ecosystem. May his love continue to serve a higher purpose. We feel blessed to have spent time with Javed and followed his traces around his orchard in Brasso Seco as part of our short documentary, Trinitario - On The Edge. Grateful to be able to share this with you - a tribute to his beautiful, graceful, and selfless being. On the 31st of May 2022, this little crew piled into a pickup, with a tray loaded with some gear, including 2 film cameras and some rolls of @kodak_shootfilm both 16mm and 8mm and embarked on a little road trip around Trinidad to tell the story of Trinitario Cocoa, a very special crop we have here in T&T✨🍃🍫 through the eyes of the farmers themselves. I have to say this was one of the most fun and laid back shoots I’ve ever done. We had a pretty loose schedule shooting for a day at each farm and then traveling to the next, and the car drives were full of ole talk and @dylan_q & @jelaniserrette blasting reggae chunes with full on sing alongs 🤣🎶🎼✨🍃 This vid was captured on our last day of the shoot where we were down in a farm in Moruga, and I think it perfectly captures the vibe of our little crew! @bydenisespeck @jelaniserrette @dylan_q #caribbeanfilm #trinifilm #bts #filmisnotdead
