Don and the team are absolutely over the moon to announce that ‘ZUBR’ is the Winner of Best Short Film at the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival 2025 which was hosted in Mexico this year. This was such a fun project to create over the last 18 months.
🍃 To be noticed on a global stage with a debut short documentary is wild! It is the best feeling to know that people connected to this story, the magnificence of European bison, their emergence into UK wilderness and the underlying warning that we aren’t always so lucky to revive keystone species from the brink of extinction. They are truly the landscape engineers everyone doesn’t know they need. A walking biodiversity machine!

👨‍🦰🌳 Conrado González-Barajas es biólogo y arborista. Desde 2008 imparte talleres y conferencias sobre Arbolado Urbano y Usos de las plantas regionales. Aprendió de sus abuelos las técnicas de la agricultura tradicional y la ganadería sustentable.
