We are so excited to invite y’all to a very special co-created edition of Embodied Explorations 😍 Truly an honor & privilege we don’t take lightly to get to hold space for our community during this pivotal time in the evolution of human consciousness 👽🌿 LFG fam❣️ Keep going ⏭️ we got this 💪 Embodied Explorations is a free form movement container that incorporates consensual healing touch, improvisation, mindful movement, pranayama, expansion of our consciousness & imagination, and non verbal communication. This session will incorporate live crystal bowl sound healing and Reiki from the angelic @existenceasemme ✨ ~ This is an Open invitation to all genders and experience levels ~ We will have a focus on healing and supporting the feminine (collectively and individually), but every part is a piece of the whole. Power, Grief, pain, joy, sorrow, suffering, peace, optimism, hope, clarity, confusion … whatever is moving through you is welcome in this container.. This will be located at Dwell Community Space in Washington, DC about 2 blocks from Galludet University ~ please note it is not listed on google maps. Dwell is a completely self sustainable and off-grid, inspirational community vortex, right in the middle of the city ❤ The space has stairs but then is one level. Popping of virtual hibernation! 🤗 . ☀️A few things: - @elliotcwilliams just published an article on DCist.com explaining our situation. I think it’s worth reinforcing that we are taking this opportunity to work with DCRA, who have shown us good faith and consideration through this process. Thank you, Elliot, for your interest and this article! . - We’re making good headway on securing a building permit. It’s a big ball to roll but we can feel some inertia growing. We’ve made contact with @studio.mayd who is generously offering advice and professional eyes as architects. Lindsey stopped by a couple days ago and she’s allowing me to stop by her office to help prepare this package for the building permit. Thank you Lindsey and @studio.mayd ! ☀️We have many months of winter left. We can’t build a fire but we can get to work on renovations as soon as we get that permit! It’s a big learning curve, so this is mostly a thank you post to everyone who’s reached out to support through professional help, Patreon, and warm words. Happy holidays all!!! ❤️❤️❤️

☀️This morning we met with the Fire Marshall and DCRA. Theyre helping us begin the process of bringing Dwell up to code as a residential dwelling. As it stands we are banned from occupying the space except to improve safety. No fines have been issued. Although we are not hosting events, or any “public gathering or assembly,” we will keep this process transparent through Instagram. ☀️ Thank you all so much for your support! It’s so much real love and we feel it! We are committed to engaging this as an opportunity to raise awareness of the need for us (all of us!) to be. Collectively we have a strong platform to demonstrate to city council the value that DIY/non-commercial creative spaces hold for DC natives and long-term residents and creatives. Anna Perr ( @annakperr ) is conducting video testimonials, connect with them if you can participate in this side of things. ☀️This going to be a long process, starting with a lot of renovations and construction. Most immediately we need to secure our building permit! Do you know of any professional architects or engineers in your circle that can help us? We also need solar and fire sprinkler professional help. 😊

Top of the evening report! We just had a visit from the DC fire marshal and DCRA. They’ve shut us down hard. We’re regrettably canceling all the events that have been scheduled for the next months. I’ll be sending out emails to everyone individually tomorrow morning 😊 So far, this Dwell thing has been a wondrous human experiment. We have collectively created something amazing. Thank you to everyone that’s made this happen. Looking to the future!
