My goal was to make a short video conveying all the reasons why I love riding my bike, camping under the stars, and connecting with humanity. I think it did it! This is 3min of a longer 6 minute video. I chopped this version because people have short attention spans on IG. Check out my YouTube channel for the full version. I’m very proud of it. Olé Olé Olé

All Heart! This film digs deep into my archives to tell a story of chasing dreams, resilience, and blessings in disguise. You’ll also get a ringside seat into the push and pull of the relationship with my mom. Thank you @rfhscenes for creating this documentary, I couldn’t have done it without you. Watch it at the link in bio.

No trees were cut down to make my book! I chose to self publish because I wanted total control over the printing process. This baby is as eco friendly as a book can be! It’s made from 100% recycled paper AND uses bio based algae inks! Whaat? It’s printed in my hometown of Boulder, CO at a family run business and ships in 100% up-cycled newspaper mailers that can be put in your curbside recycling. NO PLASTIC ALLOWED! I’m a big believer that little things add up to make a big difference. Mother Nature needs us to care. If you’ve read it and enjoyed it, please share! Self publishing also means self marketing:) You can buy it at the link in my bio *shipping outside of the U.S. is crazy expensive, wait for the ebook if that applies to you* If this is your first time hearing about my book, it’s about my very first bike adventure from Honduras to Colorado and how it lead to a lifetime of chasing crazy dreams. Huge thanks to @ridepriority for taking care of fulfillment!! I was not about to store thousands of books in my tiny apartment 😂

You all know that I’m a mama’s boy! We hang out at least twice a week. My new favorite activity is sitting on her back porch, enjoying warm evenings and chatting about life. When I’m on adventures, I call her every night to let her know that I’m safe. When something exciting happens in life, she’s the first person I call (this goes for the tough moments as well). I sometimes get her on a bike to cruise around town, or across Iowa, I love sharing my passion with her. Our Grand Canyon rafting trip trip was a highlight of my life. I love how she stands up for democracy-attending protests with her is a joy. I love seeing her light up around the grandkids. She’s become an avid pickleball player-I’m so impressed by her dedication to the sport and staying active. We watch the Olympics together, it’s her favorite thing on TV. I’m incredibly grateful for our close connection and I look forward to many more years of sacred mom time.

No car, no problem. Flowers, like dogs, enjoy sticking their heads out of the window. Happy Mother’s Day!

Getting snow in May is a real treat, especially after this historically warm and dry winter. Bring it on!

My life is always enhanced when I’m around good people. It’s been a fun few weeks of meeting new friends, reconnecting with dear ol’ friends, and hanging with my beloved family.

I remember when my mom was 47 and I thought she was so old 🤣 Now that I’m 47, I don’t feel old, but my body is definitely telling me to CHILL OUT! I’m not gonna stop running and biking long distances, I’m still in good shape, but I certainly need to be more realistic about my limitations. Anyway, I have a new video on my YouTube channel about a recent adventure in Arizona. If you like hearing the sounds of a middle aged man grunting, you’ll love it 🤣

I finally found it. The best Olè tunnel in the world! It’s south of Tucson on the Arizona Trail. Fun fact, I first fell in love with Olè-ing while studying in Guadalajara, Mexico in 2000. I’d go to the to Chivas (fútbol) games and when 50,000+ people began singing Olè Olè Olè, I’d go nuts! I decided that Boulder needed a little spice, so I’d get all my friends on the Thursday night cruiser ride to chant Olè Olè Olè as we rode around traffic circles. This evolved into doing it while riding in tunnels because echoes are cool! And remember, an Olè a day keeps the doctor away.
