For Sale: My GR Corolla 🥲👋
Today marks exactly three years since I picked up this car, but it’s time to make room for the next project.
It’s a 2023 Core model w/ Performance Package. Came together with help of Evasive Motorsports and Auto Tuned. Debuted at Bowls for the ADVAN Orido x Dai collection launch, then displayed at SEMA in the Pit+Paddock booth. Build was documented via articles published on Turn 14.

Before the Long Beach Grand Prix track walls came down for the year, had an impromptu shoot with @octane.jpg and the GR Corolla before it officially goes back to stock. 💔
Received a few offers that didn’t pan out so I’ve decided to part ways…with the parts. 👀

Restomods have been eating up the Porsche world for years. Now there’s a Ferrari following suit and makin’ a bunch of noise hailing from the UK. @evoluto_automobili brought their 355 Evoluto to LA and I got to check it out at @concourscollectionstorage before it left town. 🇬🇧
Dig 90% of the concept and the quality of the build looks stunning in person, but the styling does lose me (wheels, front splitter, lower aero). Some highlights:
🐎 473hp, 3.7L stroker V8 with 9,000rpm redline
🏎️ Carbon reinforced chassis + carbon body panels (w/ lots of functional vents)
🕹️ Kept the gated 6-speed, pop-up headlights and other old school analog bits
While the F355 wasn’t my fav ‘Rari ever, it was quite the poster car back in the day (still remember the yellow one from The Rock 🥲). I think this concept could look leagues better with a different set of wheels and by keeping the exterior more classic Ferrari, but I’m also not the customer base who’s gonna pay $800K for the conversion (excluding donor car). Needless to say, there are already orders placed, and the market has spoken! Glad I got to peep this in the flesh, and I’m sure this is only be the beginning of “reimagined” Ferrari world. 🔮

Table for 30? 🤵♂️🍷
For one night only, @aliciacaitln and I transformed @concourscollectionstorage into a private dinner party with guests wining ‘n dining alongside a McLaren P1 GTR, Porsche Speedster, and several other beauties I’ll probably never be able to afford. 🥲
Really enjoyed bringing this car-themed dinner concept to life with Alicia and the Concours team. Definitely a change of pace from the usual events I work on… but honestly would love to do more of these.

Most people know @jblaudio for their Flip speakers, headphones, or speakers in their car… but I don’t think most realize the scale of what they actually do. 🤯
I was lucky enough to be invited out for their 80th anniversary experience and was probably one of the few “influencer” guests who could appreciate all the geeky stuff they do.
Their pro-level speakers are literally used everywhere — from Super Bowl-hosting stadiums and music festivals like Tomorrowland to airports, theaters, and recording studios. Super dope taking a private tour of BMO Stadium before an LAFC match (somehow got in trouble for walking on the field too 😅).
Also really cool holding my first GRAMMY at Larrabee Studios and getting a BTS look inside HARMAN HQ in Northridge. Wild seeing the amount of pressure used to break-test speaker brackets. 💥
Think a lot of seasoned car guys discredit JBL because they aren’t viewed as the ultra high-end audio brand we’d typically want in our project cars, but they’re probably one of the only audio companies involved in this many high-profile, demanding applications at once, which makes a whole lotta sense why Toyota has partnered with them since the ‘90s. 🫡
🤓 Fun fact: Toyota’s first JBL-equipped car was the JDM Aristo. 🎌

Was hangin’ at Finish Line with Ravi of @csf_radiators when the @sterling_auto_con F430 pulled up on a set of polished BBS LM-Rs — these wheels on this car are a match made in heaven! 🤩
Seeing this ‘Rari took me back to when black ‘n chrome was the hotness on ‘90s/‘00s Euros and VIP builds. You don’t see full bling much anymore, but when it’s done right, and on the right car, it hits hard. 🦾
Also… I’m not a racing stripe guy, but I gotta give a thumbs up to the subtle matte treatment. Tastefully done, just like the BBS! 🙌

4 Happy Meals later and finally got my GR GT 🥳🍟
My last Japan trip was an unforgettable one with the family, but it was also quite the life accomplishment to snag McDonalds coolest Happy Meal toy ever – a die-cast Tomica GT3 race car of the GR GT (which may or may not be over $200K 🫣).
Getting the toy wasn’t without a challenge though, as each Happy Meal could potentially come with a Nissan police car, Toyota TownAce or fire truck (which I now have 3 of 🚒)… But you can imagine the relief when I had finally eaten my last chicken nuggie! 🐣
⚠️ Didn’t realize that I had to put on the stickers myself so did the best I could when I landed back home. How do kids do this?! 😂

Not selling my GR Supra, but doing this little shoot brings a tear to my eye as the Final Edition marks the last of the A90… 🥲✌️
After 7 years though, the Mk5 made its mark!
🏆 Brought back the Supra after 17 years
🎌 Introduced Gazoo Racing to America
🔥 Carried the torch of the 2J with BMW’s B58 (and did it well IMO!)
Personally, the GR Supra played a big part in my work/life — from covering every story behind its development to debuting my Launch Edition at SEMA with @eneosusa . Still enjoy every time I get behind the wheel (wish I’d gotten the manual, but that didn’t come until 2023).
The last GR Supra already rolled off the assembly line and there are about 50-60K units worldwide. A sad farewell, and I’ll likely always keep mine knowing that fun cars like these might be four-cylinders, hybrid and/or EV in the future… 🙈

Turning a boring parking lot into something worthy of @air__water ain’t easy, but that was one of many fun challenges for the official “Runway Reception” afterparty at @finishlineautoclub with @csf_radiators ! 😁🛩️
This year marked the fourth edition of the Porsche mega show (produced by @luftgekuhlt ). Personally, I’ve always aspired to organize well-curated events like theirs (what Pit+Paddock Grid Icons set out to emulate). So while I wasn’t involved with the main attraction, it still felt special being a part of the sidepiece to A|W. 👯♀️
We invited 80 Porsches, ranging from race icons like the Kremer 935 K3 Le Mans winner, to new school hotness like @guntherwerks and @crs2pepper ’s gang. We also hosted two VIP lounges including the rooftop that overlooks SNA, plus several of the private garages were open, which did its job making me feel very poor. 😄
Planning an intimate event of this size doesn’t have the headaches of 800 cars and 9,500 people that A|W attracts. But still… it’s no walk in the park for a small team. Huge thanks to Ravi of CSF and the fellas at FLAC for the opportunity. Last but not least, shoutout to all the show car owners for enduring the extremely long day. 🙏
Fingers are crossed we run it back next year (and hope it doesn’t rain)! 🥲☔️
