Earlier this year I was lucky to be invited by the good folks at @kilmartincastle to be one of their first artists in residence.
A few wonderful days absorbing the castle's atmosphere alongside fellow creatives @carrick_ceramics and @wobbly_digital led to this outcome; a big cosy throw for future guests to enjoy, hand-printed in a new design I created in response to our encounters with the fascinating pre-historic sites around Kilmartin Glen.
I'll be sharing some more of the process and inspiration behind this new pattern over the next few days... in the meantime a huge thanks to Stef & Simon for facilitating a wonderful residency and sharing your passion for place!

The sunniest of days to deliver some new work to the @newlanark Mill Shop here in Clydesdale. Cushions inspired by the industrial history of this World Heritage site, aiming to capture a spirit of place in a contemporary toile-type print featuring many of the site's buildings and landmarks.
