I remember watching your set surrounded by fans with their hands on the ground and asses in the air, going fully feral to a remix of Toxic by Britney Spears. I knew yall had something special together. To be creating and working alongside both of yall 6 years later, doing it on this scale, is truly an honor. Car horns are the soundtrack to a hazy, battered desert metropolis. Mounds of trash lined the streets while cars/motorbikes/mules weave amongst one another like a well-choreographed, chaotic dance. The people, bold and proud.
The pyramids stood tall β larger than I imagined. Each block of limestone telling its own story of kings & queens, explorers, looters & grave robbers. All 3 wore their battle scars with wisdom. The energy was palpable.
We ate delicious, traditional meals; we smoked smooth shisha; we haggled like the locals; we watched the sunrise over the Nile; and we witnessed one of humanities greatest accomplishments.
Cairo is not for the weak. Cairo is special.
