Now live via their SoundCloud and access through the link in bio! :) Mastered by @likeanimalsmusic Photo by @vietnameat Duality, the project of Sean Bautista, explores the tension between contrasts — old and new, analogue and digital. His sound is deep, percussive, and bass-driven, balancing refinement with experimentation. Duality’s sets move fluidly between hypnotic and textured, revealing a love for complexity without ever losing the groove. This mix was recorded at home using Technics SL-1200s, Pioneer XDJ-1000s, a DJM-450, and a fresh batch of records alongside a few digital finds. Originally submitted to the BCCO X SoundCloud New Faces programme, it became an experiment in letting go of perfection and trusting instinct. When invited to re-record it for BCCO Main Mix Series, Duality chose to keep the original — a reflection of honesty, spontaneity, and freedom in sound.

𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝘂𝗯 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺: 𝗛𝗠𝗔𝘃.𝟵 On Saturday, April 25, we welcome the distinguished Mexican-Jamaican producer and DJ, Andy Martin ⁽ᴹˣ⁾, to 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼’s growing list of international guests. For those attending 𝗛𝗠𝗔 for the first time, you’ll quickly notice traces of Jamaican soundsystem culture and the foundational influence of dub within our club night. The heavy use of reverb, echo, and delay are not only stylistic choices, but are the quiet backbone to our hypnotic and deep approach to techno. It comes as no surprise, then, that we moved quickly at the opportunity to bring Andy Martin to Manila. His productions reflect a shared DNA with these dub-informed principles, further deepened through his collaboration with the legendary Lee “Scratch” Perry. These parallelisms in references resonated immediately with our residents. With this context in mind and a broader curiosity toward shared histories between the Philippines and Mexico makes us particularly excited to host him for his Philippine debut. In support of Andy Martin’s debut, we’re joined by respected selector Ayon, alongside the introduction of Shaoxing as a new resident. Series_003 Fr.02.20.2026 Boogie, 8483 Kalayaan Ave. [ 𝗗𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 ], aka Sean Bautista, has a unique take on music that showcases the duplexity of his musical references. His sound is distinctly deep, percussive, and bass-forward, conveying an aversion to rigidity by mixing the old with the new, as well as analogue with digital. These qualities make his club sets refined yet complex. Whether he’s transporting the room into mental dimensions or warming up the floor with atmospheric textures, he’s sure to deliver layers of meticulously arranged sonic frequencies. In 2024 he started [ 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼 ] — an imprint dedicated to exploring heady and strange shades of electronic music. As a club night, the concept aims to foreground cutting-edge sound through wide-ranging interpretations by local and international guests. Siamese Twin’s Temple Rat, Killian’s YANNY, and Hardwaxs’ Jesse G are just some of its esteemed performers. With the launch of the record label on its way, HMA, is sure to articulate its unorthodox spirit through original music produced by homegrown Filipino talent. Duality’s dedication and respect for music is evident in his well documented musical career. Apart from his residencies in some of Manila’s seminal underground clubs, he has also been invited to play in venues across Asia and Europe — including guest slots on NTS Radio, CTM Festival, BCCO and many more.
