I have completed a new series of paintings inspired by Keith Haring’s legacy that will be exhibited alongside his original subway prints at the Venice Biennale this May, sold exclusively with @dtrmodern
This special nine piece collection bridges the past and the present through layers of mixed media and pop art symbolism, where new and iconic Haring motifs are found in each viewing, reimagining Haring’s impact into contemporary art.

Featuring the Capitol Building alongside portraits of past US presidents, these pieces explore the relationship between national identity, power, and the images that shape collective memory.
Drawing from imagery found on government-issued currency, Houben isolates and transforms familiar symbols into expressive contemporary works that feel both political and deeply personal.
